FashionHot “T” Trend: T-Strap Platform Heels!

Maybe you’ve seen them, and maybe you haven’t, but lately all of us here at the warehouse have been drooling over the amazingly cute T-strap platforms that seem to come in any color and style you could ever want!
Bloggers and style-istas everywhere are going crazy for them, so I just had to share some of the cutest pairings out there!
These stunning pictures by Tractordog were taken in Puerto Rico.
One of our absolute favorite bloggers, Keiko Lynn wearing the Jessica Simpson Dany in black. Could she be any cuter?!!! Definitely be sure to visit her blog because this lovely gal is as cute as a marshmallow pie!
The Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Platform Heels styled for a day in the big city.
I love this easy urban look!
The Jessica Simpson Dany in Tan. OMG, this girl is so cute I could eat her with a spoon!

My favorites are the Tan ones and the Black Patent Leather, what about you?

FashionCelebrity Style: Leigh Lezark

If you are not familiar with Leigh Lezark already, you will definitely be unable to forget her after these pictures! This DJ and model is best known for her part in the New York City-based trio, the Misshapes. Made up of three DJs, The Misshapes dominated the New York City party scene for several years, throwing weekly events, and becoming well known for both their taste in music and fashion. Leigh has DJ’d and created compiliations for major fashion shoes including Chanel, Calvin Klein, L.A.M.B., Tory Burch, and more. Trademarking a chic and dark palette, Leigh’s monochromatic looks make her one to watch.

Check out some closeups below!

My favorite thing about her style is that she rarely veers from black. While not a style for everyone, Leigh makes this look her own!  She often sticks to a long and lean, black-on-black ensemble though occasionally seen in white, grey, or a dash of purple. With porcelain skin and a midnight-black bob, her style is always sleek and put togther.

Here Leigh is caught in a few rare moments wearing a gorgeous fuscia! I love this color on her, it really shows off her glossy hair and pale skin!

GeneralLaurie’s Loves: Seventies Sirens Storm Lulu*s

Hey guys, what do you think of the new styling on the Lulu*s website? Pretty adorable, huh?
Our awesome stylists have been working on some new tricks for pulling together some really adorable outfits, so you can see how our clothes might actually wear in real life. Of course, it helps to have the entire Lulu*s closet at our disposal, but I think it might give you a head start on the whole “what do I wear this morning?!?” dilemma.
I don’t know if you’re seeing a pattern here, but I’m seeing a whole lot of retro action going on with these outfits. The high-waisted shorts, wide leg pants, and floaty mini dress all have a distinctly seventies flavor.
Let’s take a closer look at some of my favorite pieces from these ensembles:
I am recently obsessed with the Parlor Music Floral Dress. It’s flirty, feminine, and utterly adorable. The great thing about it is that when you put it on, it’s insta-cute. Because it’s sheer, you get to wear a super comfy slip underneath, and then, ta-da! It looks adorable on its own, with a pair of leggings and boots, or even with a slouchy sweater and jeans.
We just got the Bow-nus Points Black Romper in yesterday, and I personally am loving it for this spring. Even though it’s raining outside right now, this cute lil romper is still a great option for this time of year. Wear it with some black tights, a cozy cardigan, and knee high boots, and you’re set! Then, of course, wear it with sandals in the spring and summer and you’ve got a totally transitional outfit.
And how about this adorable Mocha Sprinkles Polka Dot Crop Top. They’ve got it paired here with a long maxi skirt, but I think it would be so adorable with flare jeans or shorts, too. Add some chunky platforms and you’re set!  And how lovely is the Savannah Sachet Blush Pink Jacket? We’ve got it paired here with high-waisted shorts and a button down, but it would be equally as cute with a pencil skirt or a cute floral dress. I’m also thinking it would be office-appropriate, too, with the tailored lapels and structured cut.
And of course, I can’t go one blog without sharing some of my favorite accessories. There were quite a few adorable additions in these new stylings, so I picked out three of my favs: the Future’s So Bright Sunglasses, the Melie Bianco Leah Beige Vegan Purse, and the Chelsea Crew Chelsea Crew Tolido Tan Fleece Lace Up High Heeled Boot. All of these items are super transitional and can be mixed and matched with many different outfits, especially if you stay within a fairly neutral palette as in the outfits above.
Ah sookie sookie! Can ya dig it?

FashionColor Theory: Bazaar UK February 2011 Rocks Our Sense of Color!

Embracing the key trends of Spring 2011 and spurred mostly by Gucci’s Spring 2011 Ready To Wear show, this editorial for Harper’s Bazaar UK February 2011 really does rock our sense of color theory. Photographer Nobert Schoerner hits the spot in every photo!

Above, model Ruby Aldrige, sets the scene of sophisticated luxury in a satin Gucci jumpsuit.

Hot, on and off the runway, this Yves Saint Laurent gown is gravity defiant and out-of-this world cool.

In contrast with the blues and greens of the outside world, the interior life of this woman is wrapped in the warmth of Miu Miu and all shades of yellows, oranges, and reds.

Chloé is helplessly 70’s and should be presented as so. Here, I can barely tell that this was actually shot this year!

Who wouldn’t want to take a mid-day stretch in a chartreuse gown in a luxury house this beautiful?

Walks outside are made easy in this split Lanvin maxi dress! I wish!

I never thought I’d see a Dolce & Gabbanna mini dress used for a mid-day cool off… but then again why not?

In my favorite shot, a brilliant shade of blue and the exquisite cut out panels on the side of this gown are framed in parched desert browns.
