MusicBritney’s New Single: “Til the World Ends”

I am SO excited about Britney Spears’ new club-friendly single “Til the World Ends,” which will be on her upcoming album, Femme Fatale, dropping on March 29th. I’ve already fallen in love with her last single that will also be on the album, “Hold It Against Me,” and I simply cannot wait to hear what the rest of the album has to offer.

We love you Britney,

Guest BloggerHooray it’s Friday with Corinne Bailey Rae!

With the voice of an angel, singing the lyrics of a poet, Corinne Bailey Rae makes most of my days that much sweeter! This Friday isn’t much different than a “star across my sky” with Miss Rae singing away on my iPod.

Rae is a free spirit whose incredible singing seems as natural as walking to her. I enjoy the fact that her music is catchy without the over-produced pop sounds of today.

These are the words running through my head on this glorious Friday. Watch, listen, and enjoy with me as:

Three little birds, sat on my window.
And they told me I don’t need to worry.
Summer came like cinnamon
So sweet,
Little girls double-dutch on the concrete.”

Hope you all have a great weekend, and wherever you are, Corinne Bailey Rae can put a smile on your face!

FashionLaurie’s Loves: What to Wear if You Have a Graduation Dress Code

Happy Friday, lovely LuLu*s fans! March has come, spring is springing, and our lovely Live Chat girl Whitley has informed us that there are many of you out there looking for some graduation and dance dresses. She also mentioned that many schools require dresses with certain restrictions, like length and sleeves.

Sooo, I’ve put together a little blog for you featuring some dresses that might work for you, based on the dress codes she’s mentioned. See what you think!

Finger Tip Length

A good place to start when hunting for dresses with a certain length requirement is with maxi dresses. Not only are these super trendy and popular right now, but these dresses are also really comfortable and elegant.

 ** Note **
The rest of the dresses in this blog, while not specifically targeted as fingertip length, are ones that I’ve tried to choose so you can see where the models’ fingers rest. Most of them are about fingertip length, but of course this will differ depending on your height and body shape. If you have any questions on length, check the descriptions of the dress to see the measurements. Hope this helps!

Dresses with Sleeves

These darling dresses have either short sleeves or three-quarter sleeves for those of you who need extra shoulder coverage…or just get cold easily!

  Wide Tank Straps

Whitley also mentioned that some of you would like cute dresses that don’t have spaghetti straps. By the time graduation comes around, it will be pretty warm, so here are some options that will keep you cool AND modest.

Shoes

And of course, you can’t dance OR graduate without some fabulous shoes. These shoes are all under three inches AND they’re super comfortable:

Want more options? Check out our Chelsea Crew selection (most of their shoes are 3″ or under) and our flats!

Alright, guys, there ya go! I hope this helps you on your search for the perfect outfit! If you have any questions in particular, please feel free to leave a comment on the blog and I’ll make sure to get back to you!

And, of course, congratulations!

GeneralTune In: Real Housewives Mania!

Some of our favorite Southern California Blondes are back this year with Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” season six premiere this Sunday, March 6th!

I am an avid fan of Bravo’s The Real Housewives and they are giving us a whole bunch to look forward to this month! This Sunday at 10pm ET/PT, the sixth season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County”, the original group of gals that began the hit series, will premiere! We will see Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Gretchen Rossi, and Alexis Bellino who will welcome new blonde, Peggy Tanous to the gang.  After some financial hardships in season five, the ladies are spending frivolously once again in season six and giving us more juicy drama to look forward to. This group of ladies are my personal favorites for their lively and combative demeanor, not to mention their adorable display of a warm taste of California style.

At the end of February, Bravo also introduced us to a new set of girls in “The Real Housewives of Miami”. These ladies are tan and full of spunk and I look forward to how the season unveils.

I know what my recordings will be set to! I’m looking forward to these ladies’ wardrobes and drama, which I know there will be much of!
