Beauty10 Drug Store Cosmetics That Kick Butt!

Don’t you love the makeup counters at the mall, but hate the prices? Just because something doesn’t come from a department store does not mean that it is bad quality. Large companies such as Maybelline, CoverGirl, and Revlon can command better prices from their manufacturers because there is always such a high demand for their products. Don’t be misled that all cheaper products are better than the name brands, this is simply not the case. I did a little research at the drug store to help save you a little cash this summer and found the best makeup with the best prices.

Primer
L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base ($12)
This great product smooths lines, hides pores and banishes many imperfections. It’s silky, lightweight, and ideal to start your makeup routine with.
Concealer
L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Line-Minimizing & Tone-Enhancing Concealer SPF 20 ($12)
This is a lightweight concealer that gives maximum coverage. Also, the built-in brush makes for easy application.

Foundation
L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17 ($11)
It is so hard to find a perfect color to match your skintone, but this product alleviates this concern. This liquid foundation has an unbelievably extensive selection of colors and every one will be able to find their match.
 Powder
Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil Loose Powder ($8)
I love this powder for the sleek finish it gives to any look. This powder is so light that it completely blends all my makeup to look effortlessly flawless.

Bronzer
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Bronzers ($15)
This bronzer is used by celebrities all over the country and I can see why. It is not too orange and contains SPF, antioxidants, and brightening ingredients. Anna Kournikova swears by this product and refuses to wear anything else!

Blush
L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Blush ($11)
This blush is extremely true to a natural flush and gives you a glowing effect that simply cannot be beat.

Eye Color
Revlon Illuminance Crème Shadow ($6.50)
These colors effortlessly slide right on and last all day. I also like the selection of the colors and how you can choose a shade for any outfit.

Eyeliner
Maybelline New York Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner ($10)
This eyeliner is the best. It is super long-lasting and requires no touch-ups. The perfect element to that super-sexy smokey eye look.

Mascara
Maybelline’s Great Lash mascara ($6)
Kim Kardashian swears by this mascara and swears it completes the look of her famous smokey eyes. Kate Beckinsale and Ciara are also in-love with this fabulous product. Try this product with the big brush to make your lashes as defined as possible.
Lips
Smith’s Rosebud Salve ($7)
This product is totally portable and instantly makes your lips silky smooth and soft. The little metal pot is adorable and is a favorite of Katherine Heigl and Eva Longoria.

Now go get your glam on, ladies!

General’90s Nickelodeon Is Back and (Still) All That!

If you grew up learning French from Pierre Escargot, wishing for a blue best friend, craving a Good Burger, or have ever woken up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat because “The Frozen Ghost” had appeared in your dreams (to this day, still the scariest dream I’ve ever had…), then you’ll probably be as absurdly excited as I am to hear that TeenNick has recently launched a new block of your favorite old programming from classic Nickelodeon called The ’90s Are All That!

Speaking as (what I consider to be) a fairly normal 24-year-old with a DVR full of late-night Rugrats and Rocko’s Modern Life reruns, I can hardly contain my excitement about this. Starting last Monday night, the TeenNick channel began broadcasting a few of the classic Nick lover’s favorites (Clarissa Explains It All, All That, Doug, and Kenan and Kel) from Midnight-2am EST, Monday through Friday.

The reception:
Among viewers 18–34, the demo Teen Nick is targeting in late-night, The 90s attracted ratings roughly 850 percent higher than the channel’s previous time-period average in the midnight-to-2 a.m. block.According to New York Magazine

According to Keith Dawkins, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Nicktoons and TeenNick, more of the old favorites will be worked into the rotation with time, and the people at Nick are paying attention to fan feedback on facebook, twitter, and their website, so let them know what you want! As a matter of fact, this new (old?) programming is a result of millions of pleas from eager fans, so keep it up!

The line-up of shows that we have to look forward to includes:

Aaahh!!! Real Monsters
The Adventures of Pete & Pete
All That
The Amanda Show
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Catdog
Clarissa Explains it All
Double Dare
Doug
Hey Arnold!
Kenan & Kel
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Nickelodeon GUTS
The Ren & Stimpy Show
Rocket Power
Rocko’s Modern Life
Rugrats
Salute Your Shorts
The Secret World Of Alex Mack

Tune in to TeenNick at Midnight EST (Monday through Friday) to see what all the fuss is about!
