ContestsIntroducing Pinterest and a Contest!

Have you heard of Pinterest? If you haven’t, then let me introduce you to your newest addiction! Pinterest is sometimes hard to explain to those who have not experienced it, but once you start “pinning,” you will be hooked. The site is a place to visually curate things that interest you. For example, if you like DIY, you can “pin” fun projects you have seen online. Then you can follow people that have interesting “pinboards.” These boards are collections of “pins” of images from a certain topic or interest.

The site is currently in private beta, so request an invite if you are not on it already. If you ARE already on Pinterest, then follow Lulus new profile on there!

FashionLisanne de Jong Flaunts Fringe

Washed up into another time and place, photographer Miguel Reveriego captures the wan Lisanne de Jong, bundled against the tawny sea air. With textures abounding, the presence of fringe, feathers, draping chains, loop knits and de Jong’s own salty coiffure creates a scene you can practically roll around in your hand and twist between your fingers.

FashionLouis Vuitton and His Carousel

This may be the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 line, but these cool subdued tones put me in the mind of a winter wonderland. I am in envy of the guests who were seated around a circular curtain which lifted to expose a stark white carousel with models seated atop the alabaster horses.
Laser cut dresses created the look of mammoth eyelet lace made exquisite by the presence of pastel umbrellas, vintage-style flowers and wispy feather details. The tinny soundtrack played the musings of Bjork and the grand finale was none other than the eminent Kate Moss.
Did you see those mirror-finish pumps? I’m in love!
