FashionModel Pick of the Week: Night Brights

If you hadn’t noticed, one of favorite Lulus models, Olivia, is back after a semester in Spain. Meanwhile, we’ve been stocking up the cute party and cocktail dresses as usual. Olivia (above) and Wase (pictured below) both picked the Twice Enticed Black Dress as one of their favorite new items. Have you ever seen a neckline like that?!!
Our second pick from Olivia was this fantastic neon orange dress, which is a perfect example of all the cool brights we’ve been getting in lately. This one in particular is called the Glow with the Flow Neon Orange Dress and it glows even brighter in real life!

FashionStyle Report: Sundance 2012

As I sit here typing away with my ice cold finger-sicles, nothing warms me up inside like a cozy slideshow of frozen fashionistas at the Sundance Film Festival. Because no matter how cold I think I am here in Northern California, I’ve got nothing on the snowy slopes of Park City, Utah. I mean, I love a red carpet just as much as the next girl, but it’s just so refreshing to see these ladies managing to work the winter gear without looking like furry marshmallows. So take that, evening gowns! I give you: Sundance 2012 Best Dressed:

Elizabeth Olsen, is a shoo-in with this hat trick of adorable, winter-friendly looks.

AnnaLynne McCord does street style AND red carpet carpet justice.

Taylor Swift and singer Bailey Cooke look cute, casual, and cozy.

Kirsten Dunst and Rashida Jones rockin’ the black on black (note the adorable booties).

Tinsley Mortimer, Byrdie Bell, and Maria Menounos show us how the fur vest is done.

Ah, Sorel boots. I can’t explain it, but I kind of love them. And at just 14, Ariel Winter looks pretty darn cute.

Kate Bosworth and Victoria Justice do jeggings proud. I’m a sucker for some animal print.
The bad news: now I have no excuse for frumpiness when it’s cold. Dang-it.

CelebrityRetro Fox: Linda Hamilton

Whether you think of her as Sarah Connor from Terminator, Catherine Chandler in the eighties television series Beauty and the Beast, or Vicky from Children of the Corn, actress Linda Hamilton was undoubtedly a quintessential 80’s hottie!

Beauty and the Beast
I love this quaint little pic form the set of Stephen King’s Children of the Corn.
Oh the 80’s! I can’t help but admire Linda’s rosy features framed by her questionably cool haircut and braided headband.

BeautySite to See: The Nail Pro

I saw these fabulous Gatsby nails on the Out of Print blog, and they made me smile, so in my search for more smiles, I found that this talented nail artiste, Lauren, has a whole Tumblr dedicated to her awesome nail masterpieces. It’s called The Nail Pro, and I couldn’t stop scrolling until I had seen every single tiny work of art.

Aaaaand, she does YouTube tutorials for many of the designs, so you can, theoretically, recreate many of these little gems yourself. Not all of the designs are cartoons and such either. She has plenty of ideas that actually look quite doable. Though, silly me, I’m just here to look at cartoons.
