BeautyEye Brightening Tutorial

If your eyes ever need that extra perk, try this simple how-to. It’s perfect for any eye color, and lets you showcase the brighter side of your lipstick collection as well!

How to Brighten Eyes in 4 Easy Steps:

1. Start by applying Pixi Eye Bright Primer over entire lid, followed by a dab of neutral shimmer under the eye (we used the Pixi Eye Bright Kit No.2). Next we applied Milani Powder Eye Shadow in French Vanilla over the entire lid.

2. Line the upper lid with a white cream shadow or liner like Milani Shadow Eyez in Winter White, making sure you travel all the way to the inner corner of the eye. Start from the inner corner and line the under lid as well.

3. Just in the outer crease of the lid add a little depth with a neutral eye shadow like Urban Decay’s Toasted, and blend.

4. Highlight your brow with a white powdered eye shadow like Milani’s White Lie or Ka’oir Milky Way Light Beige Eye Shadow. Finish with a thin black cat-eye (upper lid only) and black mascara top and bottom!

ArtStreet Stone: Turning Stone Statues Into Stone Cold Foxes

And here I thought Photoshop was just for fixing zits… That’s right, artists Léo Caillard and Alexis Persani didn’t actually sneak into the Louvre and carefully style these centuries-old statues. I’ll let you in on a little secret: Caillard came up with the concept, photographed the statues themselves, then dressed his friends in the outifts you see below, and posed them to look just like our friends in stone have been standing for all these years. That’s where Alexis Persani provides his magical retouching skills to take Caillard’s models out and carefully “dress” the classics in the latest casual menswear. The result: Street Stone. It was about time these guys had a little wardrobe intervention, am I right?

DIYDIY: At Home Spa Treatments Part 2

Summer is really the best time of year but the harsh weather and summer activities can really do some damage to our skin and hair. After a fun-filled summer, these spa treatments are the best way to bounce back from sun damage and dry skin. These are so easy and fun that you can do them at home or even plan a spa day with friends!

1. Chlorine damaged hair is the worst but there are ways to correct the damage done from hours in the pool. All you’ll need is 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and ¼ cup of peeled cucumber. Muddle (fancy word for squish) all the ingredients together in a bowl until it forms a nice paste. Slather it all over your hair and leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse. Your hair will be soft, shiny, and good as new!
2. Makeup remover pads/cotton face masks are great items to have on hand and you can get them from almost any drug store. Soak these in a glass of cooled green tea and put onto your face to relieve sunburn and give yourself a cooling facial. The green tea will help to reduce inflammation, redness and the effects of UV radiation exposure. Green tea’s powerful antioxidants will repair that sunburn in no time.
3. Blueberries are the best summer snack but they also provide beauty benefits. Put the blueberries, honey and olive oil into a blender until they reach a creamy consistency. Apply all over the face for a fresh summer glow and a dose of antioxidants.
4. Sandals can be harsh on feet, and if you’re rocking a heeled sandal, I feel your pain even more. For a quick pick-me-up, try throwing some Epsom salt and a few drops of your favorite essential oil in a warm bath to soak those tired summer feet.
