The great Annie Leibovitz has become so emulated and copied that I sadly find myself bored when looking at most fashion photographs anymore. It’s been hard to find a photographer that really captures someone in the camera and in a style of their own.

I have recently, with the help of my boss at Lulus.com, found an awesome portrait photographer who really brings something sweet to the table. His name is Jiro Schneider (also the photographer from the Paper Magazine party blog post!).

“In my eyes, photography is about meeting people,” explains Schneider.  “If you don’t like that, then you can’t be a portrait photographer. Doesn’t matter if you speak the same language or not, if you can connect on some level, even for an instance, it’s a beautiful thing.”
