Beauty10 Drug Store Cosmetics That Kick Butt!

Don’t you love the makeup counters at the mall, but hate the prices? Just because something doesn’t come from a department store does not mean that it is bad quality. Large companies such as Maybelline, CoverGirl, and Revlon can command better prices from their manufacturers because there is always such a high demand for their products. Don’t be misled that all cheaper products are better than the name brands, this is simply not the case. I did a little research at the drug store to help save you a little cash this summer and found the best makeup with the best prices.
L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base ($12)
This great product smooths lines, hides pores and banishes many imperfections. It’s silky, lightweight, and ideal to start your makeup routine with.

Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil Loose Powder ($8)
I love this powder for the sleek finish it gives to any look. This powder is so light that it completely blends all my makeup to look effortlessly flawless.

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Bronzers ($15)
This bronzer is used by celebrities all over the country and I can see why. It is not too orange and contains SPF, antioxidants, and brightening ingredients. Anna Kournikova swears by this product and refuses to wear anything else!

This blush is extremely true to a natural flush and gives you a glowing effect that simply cannot be beat.

Eye Color

These colors effortlessly slide right on and last all day. I also like the selection of the colors and how you can choose a shade for any outfit.
Maybelline New York Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner ($10)
This eyeliner is the best. It is super long-lasting and requires no touch-ups. The perfect element to that super-sexy smokey eye look.

Maybelline’s Great Lash mascara ($6)
Kim Kardashian swears by this mascara and swears it completes the look of her famous smokey eyes. Kate Beckinsale and Ciara are also in-love with this fabulous product. Try this product with the big brush to make your lashes as defined as possible.

This product is totally portable and instantly makes your lips silky smooth and soft. The little metal pot is adorable and is a favorite of Katherine Heigl and Eva Longoria.

Now go get your glam on, ladies!

FashionSarah Jessica Parker for Vogue

Sarah Jessica Parker appears on the cover of Vogue for her sixth time on the 2011 August issue. Parker is simply stunning in Mario Testino‘s photoshoot.
Since the shoot took place in a domestic setting, she wanted husband Matthew Broderick and kids, son James Wilkie and twin daughters Tabitha and Loretta to be included in the shoot. This might be the most personal photoshoot SJP has done yet.

Sarah Jessica Parker dons fabulous pieces by designers Oscar de la Renta, Proenza Schouler, Chanel and among many others.

According to Sarah, Carrie would be proud of the elegant designs she had the privlege of wearing; the only things missing were some Manolo Blahniks.

You go SJP!

GeneralRavishing Recipes: Nutella Crepes

Do you have a favorite food that helps turn a bad day into a fabulous one? I definitely do, and mine is Nutella Crepes. Below is a family recipe that my grandmother was reluctant for me to give up, but I was able to coax it out of her, and I simply could not keep it a secret!

    * 1 cup all-purpose flour
    * 1 teaspoon white sugar
    * 1/4 teaspoon salt
    * 3 eggs
    * 2 cups milk
    * 2 tablespoons butter, melted
    * 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
    * Lots of Nutella

   1. Sift together flour, sugar and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, beat eggs and milk together with an electric mixer. Beat in flour mixture until smooth; stir in melted butter.

   2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 2 tablespoons for each crepe. Tip and rotate pan to spread batter as thinly as possible. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Be creative! Add your favorite fruits and sauces to create a unique crepe of your very own!

BeautyBeauty How-To: Shaping Your Eyebrows

Say good-bye to over-plucking forever with this latest beauty how-to! Beautifully shaped eyebrows create a frame for the face, making them an essential part of our beauty maintenance. Eyebrows help create your unique look and, just like personalities, everyone’s are different. There are absolutely no eyebrows that are identical, this includes your own! It is extremely difficult to get both of your eyebrows looking around the same shape, so I created this how-to to help you out.

According to makeup artist, Christi Harris, “It’s really about remembering three key steps: design, define, and diffuse.”
Here is how to attain those perfect eyebrows:
1. Work with what you have. You can remove hair or use an eyebrow pencil to make them look fuller, but you can’t instantly grow them.
2. Know where your eyebrows should start. Draw an invisible line from the outer sides of your nostril to your brows (1). This is where your brows should begin to help you start shaping your eyebrows the right way.
3. Determine where your arch should begin. Take the eye pencil and start at the end of your nose and line it up to the point above your iris (2). It is to your discretion as to how tall you would like your arch. Don’t go too high, you don’t want to always look surprised.
4. Find where your tail should end. Start at your nose again and line up the end of your eye (3). Everyone’s eyes differ in size and this is one of the many reasons why no two people have the same shaped brows.
5. Trim if needed. This is a great way to get rid of bushy eyebrows without tweezing. Brush your eyebrows straight up and trim whatever hairs are coming out of your natural shape. If there are any uneven spaces, then just fill in with an eyebrow pencil until more hair grows.
Here is a video tutorial from Howdini to give you a visual of what I described above:

Important note: One bad pluck and the hair is gone forever. Be careful!!
 Now go tame those eyebrows, ladies!
