Step by Step

1. Apply a Ka’oir shadow in Milky Way (neutral/white) to the inner corner of the eyes blending into your upper lid.

2. Pat Ka’oir shadow in Pink Slip (pink) into the outer corners of your lid and blend it inward.

3. Line upper and lower lash line with Ka’oir shadow in Party Time (aqua).

Finish with some black liner in the water line and a few coats of mascara for eyes that POP!

The When in Dot Polka Dot Trench Coat, the Dot Tamale Polka Dot Skinny Jeans and the THML On the Dotted Line Polka Dot Sweater.

Here’s the look we’re going for:

What you’ll need:

- black nail polish
- white nail polish
- fast dry top coat
- a dull pencil

We chose to use a dull pencil as a dotting tool for our polka dots but you can also use a bunch of other household objects for this nail art technique. You can make tiny dots with the end of a toothpick or a pin and the head of a pin can make large dots!

Start with a few coats of your base color. Allow the coats to dry completely before continuing.


Then take your white nail polish (any contrasting color will work!) and put a few drops onto a scrap piece of paper or on some foil. 
Then use your "dotting tool" and dip it into the paint.

Simply touch the tip of the pencil to your nail and you'll have a perfect dot! 

Continue dotting over all of your nails while trying to keep the dots evenly spaced out.

 
and then add a top coat and you're done-- your nails will be cute as a button!

This week we’re hitting a couple of major fashion trends that we’ve been seeing this fall– the military trend and the abundance of crosses! We were inspired by these cute Lulu*s finds below that combined the two:

The Praise the Roof Studded Army Green Military Jacket and the Mighty Mighty Cross-tones Studded Black Dress

So today we’re going to show you how to do your own army green cross nails!

Here’s the look we’re going for:

What you’ll need:
- army green colour nail polish
- fast dry top coat
- gold microbeads
- a toothpick

Start with a few coats of your base colour. Apply a fresh coat just before starting with the next steps– the fresh coat of polish will act as an adhesive for your beads!

Now take your toothpick and dip the tip into your clear nail polish. Then touch the tip of the toothpick to a single microbead to pick it up.

Then simply touch the toothpick to the spot you want to stick it to on your nail. Your tacky nail polish will grab it off of the toothpick!

Continue picking up and touching each bead to your nail to form a cross pattern. If crosses aren’t for you, check out this tutorial for microbead studded nails

Add a top coat to seal in the beads and wait for your nails to dry completely so that the beads don’t move around, and you’re all done!
