BeautyLuLu*s How-To: Messy Twist Hair Tutorial

Upgrade your french braid from feminine, to fab and fresh with this week’s Messy Twist Hair Tutorial! A simple side twist travels all the way down into a perfectly tousled look that we are loving for warmer days! Find the full tutorial and steps below!

messy twist

Steps:

1. Part your hair to the side, and grab two even sections from the fuller side of the part.

2. Begin your twist by pulling the front section upwards, and the back section down.

3. Twist the sections together and away from your face.

4. Similar to a french braid, add hair to the bottom section, and continue to twist back.

5. Continue adding pieces and twist all the way down to the ends of your hair.

6. Finish the twist by tightly wrapping the two final sections, and fastening with a hair-tie (the tight twist will naturally loosen).

9. Carefully hold each section of the twist, and gently loosen for fullness.

10. Keep loosening all the way down and finish with hairspray!

CelebrityCrush of the Week: Miles Teller!

miles teller

You’re going to want to commit this name (and handsome face) to memory, because this is one actor that won’t be going away anytime soon. His most recent role as Andrew in the Academy Award-winning film Whiplash, has earned him quite a bit of recognition (he did 99% of the drumming himself, literally shedding his own blood, sweat, & tears on camera), but this isn’t the first time. He was unbelievably charming in That Awkward Moment and surprisingly humble in The Spectacular Now, and we cannot wait to see him reprise his character as the guy everyone loves to hate in Insurgent. Also, this guy can dance! He starred in the too-fun Footloose remake, and he’s got mooooves! Basically, Miles Teller, we love you and you can find us at every premiere of any movie you make from here on out. No, seriously.

CelebrityStyle File: Cinderella Red Carpet Premiere!

It was a fairy tale come to life at the El Captain Theater in Hollywood, which is rather fitting, considering it was the premiere of the much-anticipated, live-action screen adaptation of Disney’s Cinderella!

Cinderella Red Carpet

Cinderella herself (Lily James), and the wonderfully handsome Prince Charming (Richard Madden) were simply marvelous on the red carpet.

6

Lily wore an Elie Saab gown fit for a princess, delicately beaded from head-to-toe!

3

Lily also wore the most perfect “glass” slippers, inspired by Cinderella, designed by Christian Louboutin, and complete with a butterfly on each toe!

5

Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters stepped out of character for the red carpet event, showing their softer, sweeter sides!

From left to right, Cate Blanchett, Holliday Grainger, Lily James, and Sophie McShera!

And then they lived Happily Ever After! After Richard Madden got Lily James home by midnight, of course!
