DIYValentine’s Day DIY: Heart-Shaped Tea Bags!

Because Valentine’s Day doesn’t just have to be about you and your boyfriend!

This Valentine’s Day DIY is perfect for sharing with your BFF’s, your mom, your grandma… or any tea lover you know. Pick out your favorite loose-leaf tea (or blend your own) and have fun creating personalized messages on the little tea tags.

TIPS: I used a sewing machine for this project, but you could easily sew these by hand as well. Just use short stitches so the tea doesn’t fall out. When you’re done sewing, leave a double-length of thread approx. 4″ long; this will serve as the string for the tea tag!

What are you making for Valentine’s Day?

FashionNeutral Fashion State with Ania Yudina

The neutral fashion state continues well into 2013 with lilts of lace, silky shades of sand and bronze, and lightweight layers of cream and nude. Caught by the lens of David Cohen de Lara the lovely Ania Yudina wanders through ferrous mountainsides and the whitewashed coastline of a stark and sunny locale set to frame the delightfully sparse ensembles.

MusicListen Up! Foxygen Releases New Album Today!

If you haven’t heard of Foxygen, you’re in for a 21st century treat!

The newest babes in musicland, Sam France and Jonathan Rado (a mere 22 years old apiece) have come in swinging some really groovy tunes with their promising album “We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic”. These mini masters are standing on the cutting edge of indie folk rock with a dreamy, Kinks-influenced California sound that’s been accurately accused of  “…slamming together the archetypal flower children of the 60s and the archetypal ADHD vapidity of our recent generations.”

Following a short European tour, Foxygen will kick off their 2013 album release in the states in the Great American Music Hall in homage to their track “San Francisco”. Check out this video, then click here to listen to the entire album!
