FashionReal vs. Steal: Black Leather Camisole

Black Leather Camisole

Black Leather Camisole: Some people make the simple tunics, tops, and skirts by Michelle Mason their everyday clothes, but for the girl with big city dreams and a small town budget, LuLu*s has the answer! This sexy black leather camisole by Mason is surely the kind of wardrobe staple every girl can use. Not only is our version (the Take Root Black Vegan Leather Top) totally affordable, but it’s also a great option for non-leather lovers.

The wickedly wonderful illustrations of artist Florian Meacci are just the kind of macabre we seek out this time of year. No stranger to the fashion world, this French illustrator (based out of London) uses Bic pen and watercolor to create elegant characters kissed by death in his series called “Fashion is not dead.”  florian meacci florian meacci Read More

CelebrityReal vs. Steal: Rihanna’s Red Dress!

rihanna's red dress

Rihanna’s Red Dress: Rihanna could wear a shoebox and get a standing ovation, but the stunning (and slightly revealing) red gown she wore to the Grammy’s was an absolute eye-catcher. This vixen sure knows how to wear red, choosing a custom piece from Azzedine Alaia with what must have been a phenomenal price tag. (We don’t even want to know!)

Thankfully LuLu*s is here to suit you in the latest cute looks at everyday prices, and the Bariano Awards Winner Coral Red Dress is every bit as glamorous! With lightly padded cups and an opaque waistband, our version offers a more modest approach that’s perfect for dances, bridesmaids, and formal events.

FashionFashion Do or Don’t: Scrunchies!

scrunchies

I think most of us remember how extremely cool scrunchies were in the late eighties and early nineties, and the pics prove it. With fashion icons like Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell, and fashion queen Madonna rocking the scrunch, you can’t deny there was a confident sense of style going on when you wound that perfect patterned scrunchie into your (probably crispy) ‘do.

scrunchies

…and the scrunchie is back! MCS London (a.k.a My Crazy Scrunchie) is actually doing some pretty artful things with their flowy, petal-like designs, and fashionable celebs like Cressida Bonas (um, Prince Harry’s girlfriend) are scrunching it up in some really cute ways. The scrunchie has also been seen on the runways of Marc Jacobs and Missoni, so look out ladies, the scrunchie may be your new best friend!

Think you’ll be rocking the scrunchie soon?
