A Beautiful Mess: DIY Advent Tree

Elsie and Emma at A Beautiful Mess have the most inspiring DIY’s and I simply love following their blog! (Personal fave!) When they posted this tutorial for making your own Advent Tree, I knew I had to post it! I love the idea of the countdown to your holiday with special treats each day and this DIY lets you create your own little packages so the gifts are customized! The minimal look of the tree is perfect for a house decorated in a modern and minimal way!

FashionBlogger Spotlight: Ashley of Purse’n Boots

Blogger Spotlight time! I love Ashley from Purse’n Boots! She has rad gypsy style full of jewelry and fringe and glamorous excess! Just like I like ‘em! Take a look below for some some examples of her bad-ass boho style.

FashionCures for the Winter Blues: Mar de Flores in Vogue Brazil November 2012

Some people just love the cold and grey weather. They love the layering and dressing in cold weather styles. Drinking hot cocoa and singing carols.  Growing up in San Francisco, I realized that the cold and fog are not for me! I may wear mostly black and dark colors but warm weather just screams “happy” to me.  I love dressing for summer, hitting the beach and having bonfires at night. Warm breezes and cold drinks! None of those things are possible in a Northern California winter. That is, unless you want to freeze.

FashionBlogger Spotlight: Eszter of Stylorectic

Being a straight up hoarding, layer obsessing, mismatched cat lady makes you appreciate minimalism. You know it isn’t for you but you still see the beauty in a perfectly executed outfit with only three pieces. THREE PIECES!!? Are you kidding me? I am jealous of your commitment to fit and fashion so much so that every outfit looks perfect without having to layer on sixty pieces before reaching some sort of satisfaction. Enter the Stylorectic blog. Eszter, the girl behind the blog, has some of my favorite sleek and structured style of late.

I love the clear sandals, the sheer top with a peek of neon and the super neutral shades of this outfit.

FashionBlogger Roundup: Autumn Edition

Rounding up the best of blogger shots for autumn was no easy task! We get so many great photos from our bloggers that it is often hard to choose! Since it is fall here in the states, I decided to choose photos with a warm color palette and plenty of layers. Take a look below!

On the left we have Monroe of Fashion Steele NYC wearing our Come on Over Pleated dress, which is a good fall layering piece. On the right we have Jessica of Jump Into Puddles in our Mink Pink Once A Cheetah sweater and Yoki Chelsea ankle boots. I love tights and shorts for the fall!

Nicole of Running In Wedges blog styled our She’s Got Legs Rust Orange Maxi Skirt. Deep orange is a perfect autumn shade and maxis are great for staying warm!

Katie of Skunkboy Creatures blog in our First In Line Black Striped Dress. Although this dress would be really cool year-round,
adding burgundy tights makes it a perfect fit for the chilly months of the year!

Metallics are my favorite this fall! They make any outfit flirty and fun! This dress, with its classic cut, is perfect for all the holiday festivities and for adding a bit of fun during the drab winter months! Veronica of Bitter Sweet Colours blog makes our gold-flecked dress and patent heels look perfectly demure.

Monroe of Fashion Steele wearing one of fall’s hottest shoes, the sneaker wedge! She tried our Wild Diva Lounge Bubble Sneaker and I think she nailed it!

What trends are you excited about trying this fall??
