It’s no secret that I’m a huge nerd for both chick flicks and anything Shakespeare, so you can imagine my delight when I found Letters to Juliet for a buck at the Red Box last night.
If you haven’t seen it (remedy this if you haven’t), here’s a synopsis from IMDB:
An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered “letter to Juliet” — one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by the “secretaries of Juliet” — and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.
So, of course I’m hooked.
As I watched, however, I got even more hooked — not because of the ridiculously amazing scenery or the sultry Italian accents — but because of Amanda Seyfried‘s hair. In almost every scene, she has a new, adorable ‘do that I just loved. She had cute front twists and adorable ponytails in almost every single scene. Wish I had a live-in stylist!
My absolute favorite look, however, was from one of the last scenes at the end. (I can’t tell you what scene or it will ruin the ending!) Take a look at this incredibly romantic style:

How enchanting is this?!?
Here’s what’s going on. First, she’s curled her hair into soft, loose waves. I’d recommend about 2 inch barrel curling iron to eliminate any poodle princesses.
After that, she’s parted her hair in the middle, swooped it back and braided it away from her face on each side. The ends of the braid are wrapped around themselves in a loose knot and pinned at the back of her head. Cake, right?

The best thing about this look is that you can wear it to work, out on a date, or to a fantastic holiday party. If you want to go all out and copy Amanda’s beautiful look, you can always pair this hairstyle with a fabulous party dress from Lulus.com!
So, girls, tell me: what are you favorite movie hairstyles?
