Lulus How-To: Homecoming Makeup 2018

Looking for the perfect eye makeup for your next night out? We created an easy tutorial that’s perfect for adding subtle definition to your eyes and an all over glow to your beautiful face. Try this look as homecoming makeup or add it to your weekend beauty routine for a pretty way to update your GNO style. With only four simple steps needed to complete this easy eye makeup look, there’s no reason not to try it out!

Step 1: Begin by shaping and filling in your eyebrows with brow powder, pencil, or gel. Need tips on how to create the perfect frame for your face? Check out our tips for creating the perfect brow! You can also prep your eyelid with concealer or eyeshadow primer to create a flawless base for your eyeshadow.

Step 2: Using a light neutral metallic eyeshadow and a fluffy brush, shade your entire eyelid with soft sweeping motions, going up slightly into the crease and into the inner corner of your eye. Next, with a slightly darker matte brown eyeshadow and a domed blending brush, add definition to the outer third of your eyelid and crease. Be sure to blend!

Step 3: Take a brown eyeliner pencil and trace around your upper lash line and the outer third of your lower lash line, slightly extending the line at the outer corner of your eye if you like. Using a small blending blush or liner brush, take a matching eyeshadow and lightly blend out and smudge the eyeliner to create a soft, smokey effect.

Step 4: Finish the look with mascara on your upper and lower lashes. You can add individual false lashes to the outer corner of your eye for even more drama and definition.

That’s it! Complete your makeup look with rosy blush, a shimmery lipstick or gloss, and highlighter on your cheekbones and the high points of your face.
