DIYSparkling Apple Crisp Cocktail

We went in search of a cocktail that captured the essence of autumn, and what we found is quite exquisite! Pleasing to all the senses, the Sparkling Apple Crisp Cocktail captures the refreshing sweetness of autumn apples, the sultry taste of brandy, and the pleasant sparkle of champagne! It’s cozy enough for a night-in playing board games with your boyfriend, and sophisticated enough to impress any guest at your next holiday soiree! Whip this drink up and have all your friends in awe in no time!



-1.5 oz Applejack Brandy

-3 oz Sparkling Apple Cider

-3 oz Champagne (chilled)

-1 Red Apple

-Cinnamon sticks

-Cinnamon and sugar mixture poured evenly on a saucer or plate

-Lemon Wedge

-Ice Cubes



1. Cut a half inch slit into a lemon wedge and rub it around the rim of the glass

2. Turn the glass upside down and dip it into the cinnamon and sugar mixture, slowly twisting the glass to ensure even coverage, and gently shake off excess sugar

3. Pour the brandy, apple cider, and champagne into the glass and stir well

4. Add 2-3 ice cubes (optional), and garnish with a cinnamon stick and slice of red apple

On the hunt for an autumn cocktail that’s sweet, sultry, and oh-so-sophisticated? The Blackberry Bramble has what you desire! Its deep, rich colors are synonymous with fall and the medley of flavors are as surprisingly pleasant as watching the season’s first leaves reach the ground. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of these luxurious and luscious cocktails – you deserve it!

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 3/4 crème de mûre (A little pricey and hard to find, but trust us it’s well worth it. We founds ours here.)
  • Blackberries for garnish


1. Fill cup halfway with ice

2. Add the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup and stir well

3. Slowly pour in the crème de mûre

4. Garnish with a few plump, ripe blackberries and enjoy!



For a non-alcoholic version, you can simply omit the gin and raspberry liqueur and replace with club soda and Torani’s raspberry syrup.

Here at we’ve realized there really isn’t much we wouldn’t mind seeing dipped in a bit of gold! We’ve brought you makeup, nail, and fashion inspo featuring this shimmering shade, and now we’ve incorporated it yet again into this to-die-for DIY Gold Dipped Mug tutorial! The steps could not be easier (or more fun!), and the idea of drinking a cup of delicious hot chocolate from this darling mug is getting us way too excited for fall. – One plain white mug
– Painter’s tape
– Matte indoor gold spray paint
– Mod Podge or clear ceramic sealer

DIY Gold Dipped Mug

1. Using painter’s tape, seal off the area of mug you want to keep white – making sure to cover the lip of the mug, and that there are no ripples in the tape so your lines are crisp.
2. Place the cup upside-down on newspaper, and spray the exposed areas of the mug with the gold spray paint. *Spray gold spray paint 15 inches away in small spurts to avoid dripping*
3. Wait 5 minutes for spray paint to dry, then apply the clear ceramic sealer.
4. Wait 5-7 minutes to let the sealer dry, remove the tape and get ready to your enjoy your fabulous new mug! *Do not wait too long because the tape may peel off some paint!*
*Not dishwasher safe. Hand-wash with mild soap and water*

DIYSpiked Watermelon Popsicles


Hi guys! Ashley from Sugar and Cloth here again, back with an amazing recipe to beat the end-of-summer heat! Just when you think watermelon couldn’t make the summer any better, they go and get a little makeover and come back looking cute as ever … and with a splash of rum. I don’t know about you, but that’s just as good as a cabana boy in my book.



These spiked watermelon popsicles are sweet, refreshing, and fully equipped with a clever little rind drip tray built in!


Ingredients, yields 12 pops:
  • 2.5 lbs of fresh, seedless watermelon (basically half of a small melon)
  • 4 tablespoons (or 2 oz.) of watermelon Monin syrup
  • 8 oz. of light rum (or the same amount of orange juice for non-alcoholic)
  • splash of Sprite
  • small, rectangular cuts of rind the same size as your popsicle molds

Cut the watermelon away from the rind and blend it in a blender. Pour it into a bowl or a pitcher with a spout to make it easy to pour into the popsicle molds, then add the rest of the ingredients and stir. ​Pour the mixture into the molds, and insert the popsicle sticks through the rind by making a small slit with a knife. Be sure that the rind fits into the mold just enough to touch the mixture (to be able to freeze into place), but isn’t so small that it falls through the top opening. Then freeze the pops overnight.


Before trying to remove the pops from the mold, run the tips of the popsicles in the mold under warm water for about 20 seconds. The popsicles will have a soft texture (as does watermelon), so pulling too hard on them will make them break if you’re not careful.  Before serving, you can drizzle a little dash of sugar for extra punch and cuteness!
