Hi guys! Kaelah from Little Chief Honeybee here! Despite the frigid temperatures outside, the holidays are the perfect time for a nice, blended cocktail to sip by the fire. Today I’m sharing with you a new favorite of ours: a Christmas Cookie! It combines loads of delicious flavors, and packs a nice, warm punch once enjoyed. It really does taste like a cookie!

 Christmas Cookie

serves one

1 ounce Bailey’s

1 ounce Kahlua

1 ounce Peppermint schnapps

2 scoops vanilla ice cream

3 ounces milk

A few ice cubes

Mix all of your ingredients into a blender and pulse until liquified. Pour into a glass and top with some yummy whipped cream. You can choose to garnish your drink with crushed peppermints or holiday cookies.

If peppermint totally isn’t your thing, you’re in luck! It’s so easy to drastically change the flavor of this cocktail, just by replacing one ingredient. Instead of using peppermint schnapps, try using butterscotch! Then you can crush butterscotch pieces for the garnish. (This one is my favorite!)

If you prefer to stay alcohol free, you can use peppermint or butterscotch syrup to give your mocktail the flavor you’re after. Enjoy!

GeneralBergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows 2013

Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows 2013:
Every holiday season New Yorkers and travelers from afar can expect a mighty show from designer David Hoey and his team of assistants. The team works year-round to create the famed holiday window displays on Fifth Avenue. For 2013 they chose the unexpected theme “Holidays on Ice”.

In true “maximalist” style, this year’s materials included 1000 feet of shimmering icicles framing scenes like Arbor Day, Halloween, and even a frosty Fourth of July. Breathtaking couture from Alexander McQueen Resort, Oscar de la Renta, and Rodarte dresses the mannequins, including a custom onyx plumed gown designed by Naeem Khan for the nine foot tall mannequin featured in the Halloween-themed window!

GeneralEmployee Picks: Scary Movies

SomethingWickedWeekScaryMovies2There’s no better way to get into the Halloween spirit than by gearing up with some scary movies! We asked around LuLu*s headquarters to find out which freaky flicks are employee favorites.

The Strangers

“This is my favorite scary movie because it constantly had me jumping out of my seat and I couldn’t sleep without leaving a light on for weeks! The creepy masks that they wear are absolutely terrifying, and Scott Speedman isn’t too bad to look at either ;) ” – Kristina, Customer Service

The Shining

“The Shining stars Jack Nicholson in easily his most unhinged role. His isolation amps up the overall terror in this surreal nightmare of a film. This movie gives me the chills because his acting is so realistic that it makes me believe people could go insane from being isolated. Watch with caution, and don’t go to room 247!” -Holly, Fulfillment Department

Dead Alive

“This cheerfully campy, cult classic manages to capture every aspect I appreciate in a horror movie: cheesiness, comedic relief, some blood and gore, a lack of CGI, a heartwarming love story, and zombies…lots of them. There is plenty of blood, guts, and gore in this splatterfest B-film to make you cringe a little, but it’s so over-the-top cheesy that I find myself grinning from ear to ear most of the time. While I’m giggling about its cartoonish humor, they bring it all together with a heartwarming love story.” – Christina, Copywriter
