Today’s the last of the Holiday Soiree Style series with Stephanie of Honey & Silk and we’re finishing it off with a cute and bold outfit for toasting to your best group of girlfriends and for that spontaneous moment you find yourself under the mistletoe. It’s time to really have some fun with your look when you’re going out with friends for a great night of party hopping, where the Christmas lights are glowing and eggnog is endless. That’s reason enough to celebrate and be merry! Whether you’re going out to a swanky affair or to a low-key bar, you can’t go wrong with being dressy-casual. Wear a top and skirt with eye-catching details or a minimal dress paired with heels that make a statement. I personally love the classic crop top and high waisted skirt combination as my party uniform, and I’m updating the look for the colder season with long sleeves, a turtleneck, and a gorgeous pleated coat to keep me toasty all night long. For those caught in snowy nights, add a pair of fleece-lined leggings under a mini skirt and you’ll be pretty and set.

FashionHoliday Soiree Style with Honey & Silk: A Family Affair

HolidaySoireeStyle

We’re back with another amazing Holiday Soiree Style post by Stephanie of Honey & Silk. Everyone has family gatherings to attend during the holidays, but sometimes it can be hard to decide on the perfect dress. Surrounding yourself with loved ones gives you the freedom to really dress how you feel so Stephanie keeps it bright and cheerful in our Rubber Ducky Suite Life Backless Royal Blue Lace Dress!

The holiday season is the most celebratory time of year when family members gather from far and near for delicious dinners and trips down memory lane – whether it be something you actually look forward to or not. One thing is for sure, you want to look your best! But the holidays are all about being merry, so have fun with your outfit and make sure your personality shines through when you’re visiting your parents or meeting your significant other’s mom for the first time. Wear bright festive colors with gorgeous lush textures (like velvet or lace) and stay with classic silhouettes. You’ll charm the heck out of everyone! I fell in love with this Rubber Ducky dress from the latest holiday collection at Lulu*s because of its delicately intricate lace overlay with a cutout back that says you’re sweet and charismatic. Its royal blue hue looks gorgeous against any skin complexion and its conservative yet adorable hemline makes it easy to wear with bare legs or black knit leggings for colder visits.

Guest Blogger“A Southern Fall” Style Video with Signe Roo!

A Southern Fall from Chad Hugghins on Vimeo.

Hi, Y’all!

My name is Signe and I blog over at Signe Roo. When Lulu*s reached out to me to do another video collaboration this fall, {see my other video collab here} I knew exactly what I had in my mind. I love autumn in the South. It’s quite honestly one of the prettiest times of year. One of my struggles living in Texas during this wonderful season, however, is dressing for the temperature. In the morning, it could be chillier than chilly, and by noon it’s eighty degrees and you’re sweating to death. And that, my friends, is the beauty of layering. When picking out the outfits for this collaboration, I wanted to choose a few pieces I could wear without a jacket, and also a few other pieces that are easily layered. I must say, it was hard to choose because Lulu*s had so many amazing things, but I was pretty pleased with the outfits I put together, especially the leather midi skirt. I had been longing to buy one and just couldn’t do it. Now I might just never take it off! My husband, Chad, edited together this lovely video, and I hope you think it captures what we set out to capture: “A Southern Fall”. To me, it feels like a cozy wool blanket wrapped tightly around your shoulders as you sip hot cocoa, enjoy the leaves changing, and the crisp cool air blowing around your face, ringing in the announcement that fall is finally here.
