You’ve got your pop princesses and your downright divas, but how could we ever forget about our favorite hard-hitting hotties? They rock and they roll and they kick boys butts all over the scene. These are our favorite chicks that straight up wail!
It’s not enough that Baz Luhrmann (Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge) is directing the savvy new film version of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, but none other than Jay-Z has been appointed as the executive producer for the roller-coaster-ride soundtrack that is just beginning to leak to all of us starry-eyed fans. In fact he’s pieced together such a dazzling array of artists, impressive covers, and original songs we’ll excuse Jazzy for giving himself the opening track (and his wife the second).
Nepotism aside, the stunning Lana Del Rey released the first music video of the bunch today, and Florence + The Machine’s “Over the Love” will you hit you harder than Gatsby’s grill.
