Very cute and elegant. I never, ever, ever wear white even though it looks so good on other people.

My fashion new years resolution is to wear strapless with confidence! I have bad scars on my shoulder that made me avoid showing them so this year I want to let my fears go and rock cute dresses and tops! My first choice is the Silk Arboretum Maxi Dress, I absolutely LOVE it!!

    January 5, 2010 at 10:30 am
  8. Jennifer Causby

I resolve to jump in mud puddles instead of jumping over them wearing the Chinese Laundry Bog Hunter Green Rubber Boots!

    January 5, 2010 at 10:30 am
  9. Becky

My fashion resolution is to show off my shoulders. I’ve been shoulder-shy for a long time and I’m just starting to get over it. I live in SoCal! I need to embrace the weather! So, I’d wear the picnic in plaid dress http://www.lulus.com/products/Picnic+in+Plaid+Dress/17939.html. So Cute.

    January 5, 2010 at 10:31 am
  10. Sarah

WEAR-TO-WORK-DRESSES! Last year I wore pants to work 99.9% of the time…boring! This year I’m committed to bringing out the girly girl in me by wearing more dresses to work. How will I start? With the On the Case Dress! It’s young and fashion forward, but still conservative enough to wear to work.

    January 5, 2010 at 10:33 am
  11. Emily Dubinsky

This year, I will not be afraid to embrace the one shoulder trend by wearing the Wanna Have Dress! So cute and bright.

    January 5, 2010 at 10:37 am
  12. Lindsey

Fashion resolution: To go back to using a purse instead of a diaper bag!

My daughter will be one in ten days and I’ve been rocking the diaper bag for a whole year. Good thing big purses are still in style so I can stash diapers and sippy cups and still be stylish.

This one would be perfect: http://www.lulus.com/products/Dont+Wait+Handbag+by+Melie+Bianco/17897.html

    January 5, 2010 at 10:41 am
  13. Kate

This year I’m going to ride my bike to work every day even if it’s raining. For that I’ll need some waterproof boots, like the Chinese Laundry Bog Hunter Green Rubber “Hunter” Rain Boot!

    January 5, 2010 at 10:45 am
  14. Sade Slack

This year I will show off my legs in a more adult way by wearing pencil skirts like Double Take Lace Skirt instead of denim mini skirts!

    January 5, 2010 at 10:45 am
  15. Allyson Kiefer

This year I want to look more elegant like the Titania Blue Tube Dress!

    January 5, 2010 at 10:45 am
  16. Elisabeth Bender

This year I’m going to wear more dresses! Even if my husband always asks me “are you really gonna wear that” everytime I do (apparently he is from hillbilly town, not that there’s anything wrong with that). Since teal is the “in” color this year…I really love the Divine Approval Dress (in Teal of course). Thank you LuLus! I love your fashion sense ;)

    January 5, 2010 at 10:45 am
  17. Vanessa

Fashion New Years Resolution: I will embrace my inner geek. For this I will need the “Just Like Buddy Holly Glasses”.

    January 5, 2010 at 10:46 am
  18. Vanessa

My fashion resolution is to get intouch with my more feminine side, embracing a more classic and romantic style of dress. I abosultely love period dramas. So to wear something that has that semblance of elegance, yet having a more modern take on the design is my goal this year! Starting with this little beautiful dress: http://www.lulus.com/products/Letter+of+Love+Dress/17695.html

    January 5, 2010 at 10:47 am
  19. Erica

New Years Resolution: Allow more color and patterns into my wardrobe. Everything is black and solid.

I’ve been eyeing the Park Promenade Dress or the Somebody to Love Dress…

    January 5, 2010 at 10:54 am
  20. Shannon Rebecca

My New Years Fashion resolution is to embrace florals! The Censored Love dress will help me do this with the adorable and feminine floral print on the upper portion of the dress, while the black bottom keeps it practical! This is one resolution I plan to keep!!

Funny that Lulu’s would ask this! I actually have made it my New Year’s Resolution to look more presentable. Seeing as I’m a college student, it’s so easy to throw on sweats and head to class, especially in the blistering cold. I, however, am ditching the frumpy sweats and saying hello to a nicer way to stay warm. I might be able to pull this off with the Steampunk Chic Coat.

    http://www.lulus.com/products/Steampunk+Chic+Coat/15586.html

  25. Bridget

My fashion new years resolution is to be bold and not be afraid of doing so. I think the tiger lily earrings in royal blue ate the perfect way to start my resolution!

    January 5, 2010 at 11:04 am
  26. Kendal

My fashion resolution this year is to try to look more professional, yet cute! I would wear the Scrollwork Top and pair it with the Courtesy Curtsy Jacket. I would also wear the Walking Tall Trousers and the stylish Novela Wonder Grey and Blue Color Block Mary Jane Heel. :)

    January 5, 2010 at 11:04 am
  27. Danielle

My resolution is to look more like a 30 year old..but still have a nice sense of fashion. I have always been told that I dress and look young..so with that said I have begun wearing dresses that show my shape more. Fitting at the waist and maybe the “balloon” or “tulip” style at the bottom..Or just somethling that shows my curves off nicely.

    January 5, 2010 at 11:10 am
  30. Kellie Wilson

I resolve to vary my wardrobe and stop wearing black pants with a different shirt as “dress up” outfits. This dress would be a great way to start the change! :)

    January 5, 2010 at 11:16 am
  31. cristal ramirez

My New Years resolution is to have no fear, be extreme and experiment with amazing styles that I would have never considered before. I want to be known as the girl who dresses classy, with an edge.

    January 5, 2010 at 11:19 am
  32. Katelynn Miller

My biggest fashion resolution this year is to STEER CLEAR OF HOODIES! I’m cold all the time, and it seems I always end up with a boring black hoodie on and it always masks whatever cute outfit I’m wearing. The Clover Crochet Cardigan would keep me warm, but also keep me looking stylish!

    January 5, 2010 at 11:22 am
  33. mary moshier

My new year’s fashion resolution is to be bold and step out of my “comfort-zone style”. I would start this by rocking the anne michelle fume 61 black double zip platforms with a chiffon top and a high-waisted pencil skirt for work-attire :)

    January 5, 2010 at 11:25 am
  34. Cara Martin

This year I resolve to not jump on every trend bandwaggon that comes along, and instead opt for effortlessly classy pieces like the Ocean’s Eleven Dress. It’s trendy, but will prove wearable for years to come!

    January 5, 2010 at 11:29 am
  35. Amanda K.

My New Years resolution is to stop wearing so much black. I need to start wearing more colorful and flirty pieces! I could ease into that by wearing the April Showers Dress. Love it!

    January 5, 2010 at 11:29 am
  36. Tian Cognato

Since moving to Manhattan, I seem to have fallen in that much dreaded head to toe black coma. And while I’m not yet ready to walk away from the dark side, wearing a punch of colour threw my accessories, is the goal this year. Bright purses, leggings, and shoes are my must buy to help me reach my resolution. I’m loving the Melie Bianco Coastline Handbag in Blue (http://www.lulus.com/products/Melie+Bianco+Coastline+Handbag+in+Blue/16685.html), not to bold, but stylish and timeless.

    January 5, 2010 at 11:38 am
  37. Jennie Terra

My New Years fashion resolution is to be a bit more sassy! Spice up my look with brighter colors and patterned dresses. I tend to wear a lot of black and white which can be kind of depressing at times. I have my eye on the Vogue Dress in hot pink, or I might even get the guts to Paint by Numbers. Top it off with a Witch Doctor’s touch of bangles and I think I’m definitely ready to take on 2010! :)

    January 5, 2010 at 11:39 am
  38. Crystal Tweed

My 2010 fashion resolution is to continue to embrace all different styles of fashion, from jeans and UGG boots to leggings and fitted sweaters. And I would definitely include the Anne Michelle peep toe boots!!!!!

    January 5, 2010 at 11:40 am
  39. Dani Pazos

My new years fashion resolutions is to stop wearing so much black and so many pants, i want to start wearin more dresses, bright colorfull dresses, i want to go from ‘casual’ to ‘shinny’ or ‘bright’, i wanna look like im always happy and vibrant.
And for that resolution i would wear ‘Divine Approval Dress in Coral’ http://www.lulus.com/products/Divine+Approval+Dress+in+Coral/17935.html or ‘Colorize Your Day Dress’ http://www.lulus.com/products/Colorize+Your+Day+Dress/17851.html

    January 5, 2010 at 11:43 am
  40. Kristen

For my resolution this year I want to be more daring with my fashion choices. I’m a college student that lives in jeans and hoodies. I want to dress myself more like an elegant young woman. I would become a more edgier and confident fashionista by wearing the new Odette Lace Crop jacket, which is adorable, with a pair of gray jeans and a pair of high heeled gray boots.

    January 5, 2010 at 11:51 am
  41. Jessi

I want to actual spend time getting ready instead of running around after my 2 year old in jeans and my hair pulled up. Any dress on your site would help make this happen.

    January 5, 2010 at 11:56 am
  42. Lisa

Ooooh…I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately because I’m in the market for a new jacket since my old one from Lulu*s has had buttons fall off :-(

A fabulous burst of color plus a unique silhouette would lead me to get this!:
    http://www.lulus.com/products/Olive+Peacoat+by+Volcom+in+Spicy+Orange/16458.html (In large)

(I LOVE the Marna coat in yellow, too, but fear it wouldn’t be warm enough!!)

My own personal fashion resolution is to find a pair of heels I can wear everyday comfortably, because in New York, sneakers are a no-no! Something like these: http://www.lulus.com/products/Mixx+Tokyo+01+Black+Kid+Suede+Studded+Pradaesque+Heel/17505.html

or the Anna Michelle Fume 61 booties in an 8!

    January 5, 2010 at 11:59 am
  43. Corrine

I have several resolutions this year but my biggest fashion resolution is to start accessorizing more! I need to not only begin wearing more hats, fun hair pieces & unique jewelry, but really working those items to complete my look! I absolutely love pieces like the ‘Witherspoon Jewel Cuff, the ‘Beirut Feather Clip’ & the ‘Fab Flapper Hat in Black!’ It’s time to make a fashion statement!

    January 5, 2010 at 12:18 pm
  45. Erica E.

A 2010 fashion new years resolution would have to be to dress more work chic! Just graduated from college, so I need to find more work related clothing yet items I could wear any day! Like this dress: http://www.lulus.com/products/Meet+Me+in+Montana+Dress/17562.html

Love the tights with the dress too!

  46. Niki Philipps

To accessorize more, like with the Witherspoon Jewel Cuff

    January 5, 2010 at 12:29 pm
  47. Tasha

    January 5, 2010 at 12:37 pm
  48. Caitlyn Shortt

My fashion resolution for the year is to get more creative with my shoes. I spend so much time wearing flip flops and athletic shoes. I want cute shoes on my feet! Like the Jeffrey Campbell Band Brown Combo Fiesta Woven Wedge! So cute.

    January 5, 2010 at 12:48 pm
  49. Nickole

My New Resolution for this year is to loose weight and introduce more color into my wardrobe. I love black but I will not longer hide under it. Pinks, Blues, and Yellows here I come!

    January 5, 2010 at 12:53 pm
  50. Jacqueline

I will stop clinging to t-shirts for comfort and will experiment with blouses and tops. I’m 25 years old and it’s time to grow up a little. I think this piece would Make Do http://www.lulus.com/products/Make+Do+Top/17930.html

    January 5, 2010 at 12:57 pm
  51. allyson

I resolve to be more confidant in myself around men, to never be afraid of being turned down. A sexy pair of heels just ooze confidence, like the anne michelle key 26 black vegan leather knee high heel boots!

    January 5, 2010 at 1:33 pm
  52. Michelle

New Years Resolution: To embrace my new pregnancy curves and not fall into the slump of ugly oversized maternity wear.

What I would wear to jump start said resolution: http://www.lulus.com/products/Alarm+Belle+Dress+in+Green/17838.html

With it’s high empire waist it will accommodate the growing bump perfectly but it’s still cute and wearable post-pregnancy also.

    January 5, 2010 at 1:34 pm
  53. Denaya

One of my fashion resolutions is to try different bottoms that play up my super long legs instead of trying to hide them in jeans maybe the Hip to be Square Skirt would do that && i love that pattern.

    January 5, 2010 at 1:38 pm
  54. Arianne

One of my fashion resolutions for the year is to wear more dresses! I tend to gravitate towards jeans 100X more than dresses and I feel like adding a few flirty cute dresses to my wardrobe would be really fun. The Somebody To Love dress http://www.lulus.com/products/Somebody+to+Love+Dress/17660.html , with its pleated bodice and watercolor print is so gorgeous…I would feel absolutely feminine wearing it. :)

    January 5, 2010 at 1:42 pm

2010 Resolution: As we enter a new decade, I make a resolution to add more stylish pieces from past decades to spice up my wardrobe. Items from your vintage shop can go a long way in making my outfits more creative such as the sunflower skirt or pueblo purse.

  57. kim mesman

Resolution, Resolution, Resolution….I love jewerly so I plan to wear more jewerly and accessorize more. I see to always wear the same earrings, necklace etc but I have been switching it up. Jewelry is so fun and you have some fun jewelry!

Since I’ll be externing this semester, one of my fashion resolutions for 2010 is to punch up my business/business casual wardrobe with classic yet fun tops.

I like the Whirlwind top, the Saffron Spice top, and the Espresso Bean sweater for starting on this resolution.

  60. Elva Miranda

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION FOR A YOUNG AT HEART GRANDMA: I’m turning 62 this year and have always been young at heart when it comes to fashion. I love the versatility of Lulus clothing and the fact that the clothing will fit any age, it’s all about how you wear it. I love leggings and the idea of wearing gray or black leggings with the dress, along with a cute pair of shoes like the Pewter colored toe flat really excites me.

My fashion resolution for 20-10 is to be more adventourous with my clothing. I always feel extremely self aware when I try on clothing that stands out (perhaps because I am 5’10″ with red hair) but this yaer….no more.

Tha item I would wear would be the Divine Approval Dress (in coral) with Mixx Tokyo studded heels.

    January 5, 2010 at 2:59 pm
  63. Carmen Simone

My fashion resolution is to stop being so lazy with the way i dress. I only wear jeans and t shirts cause even though i hate them they are simple and comfy.

The Hip to be Square Skirt will help me accomplish this goal because it is super cute and and has an interesting pattern that will allow me to be a bit more simple with accessorizing.

    January 5, 2010 at 3:17 pm
  64. Siobhan Malone

My fashion resolution is to step out of my box of solid color clothes and try to venture out with bold prints. I find that I never feel comfortable in prints that bring attention to me or my body and this is the year to change that.

With that I feel like the Bonanza Strapless Dress is the perfect start to my new years resolution and to the new me in prints!!! Especially with black stiletto heels!! :)

    January 5, 2010 at 3:29 pm
  65. Cassie

I need to start focusing on buying clothing items that will only add something special to my wardrobe. In the past, I have tried to stretch my dollar to buy everything in sight….never really wearing half of my clothes. I want to choose pieces that add a unique but essential flair to my wardrobe, and that can be incorporated into several outfits.

I would start with the On Pointe Dress by Esley :)

    January 5, 2010 at 3:33 pm
  66. Sandy M.

This year I will try to incorporate more accessories into my outfits. Especially rings because I have short stubby fingers that just looks even stubbier with rings. I will make it work! And to help me get used to it, I would get the Road to Cythera Ring because it looks super classy.

    January 5, 2010 at 3:53 pm
  67. Debbie Terry

This year my fashion resulution is to stop trying so hard to look tall. I’m short and I would like to wear flats like the Mia Cajun Tan Multi Leather Hurache Wedge Sandal.

    January 5, 2010 at 3:58 pm
  68. Yue

For my Fashion New Year’s Resolution, I would like to wear more dresses this year. I love how different dresses can bring out different sides of me: feminine, sexy, sophisticated… I would wear the Letter of Love Dress because I love the classy black and white look with the touch of lace to give it that vintage feeling.

    http://www.lulus.com/products/Letter+of+Love+Dress/17695.html

    January 5, 2010 at 4:08 pm
  69. Lydia

I usually like a classic look when wearing a dress but this year I want to wear dresses that have interesting cuts, a bit of an edge to them and more of a rock ‘n roll vibe! I think the Moretti Sequin dress would be perfect for the look I’m going for.

    http://www.lulus.com/products/Moretti+Sequin+Dress/15722.html

    January 5, 2010 at 4:23 pm
  70. Mallory Grant

My New Years fasion resolution is to get out of the clothes that I use to hide my shape. To wear items that make me comfortable but are feminine and possibly even sexy. I mean what woman doesn’t want to feel sexy. I know that I would like to have that feeling. To hopefully achieve that feeling without it being too much too fast I would pick the Lovely Quinn Dress by Collective Concepts. I like the shape it creates and it’s elegant but also isn’t overly revealing.

    January 5, 2010 at 4:36 pm
  71. Debra B

This year I will try and wear less sports type tops and wear more girly ones, like this Fandango Hoodie by Nikita! It’s too cute!

    January 5, 2010 at 5:43 pm
  72. Shenelle

My Fashion Resolution this year is to wear clothes that are stylist and comfortable at the same time. Not to be afraid to experiment! Instead wearing sweats and jeans all time, I would wear dresses, skirts, jumpers, and leggings. I wanna feel good about myself and what I am wearing!!!

I would wear the Park Promenade Dress with black leggings, and the gorgeous Anne Michelle Plenty 01 Chestnut Peep Toe Belt Wrapped Bootie. Then put the Maren Cardigan over the dress! :)

    January 5, 2010 at 5:45 pm
  73. Mary Steska

For as long as I can remember I have been afraid to take chances in regards to wear prints and patterns. As a result, I take chances with colors, but everything is SOLID COLORS! So my resolution is: to wear more patterns and prints (florals, abstracts, etc). To help achieve this goal, I would wear the Avon Park Dress. It is gorgeous and would definitely be a proper stepping stone for taking more risks with patterns and prints!

    January 5, 2010 at 5:54 pm
  74. Lainey

I will continue on a cheery, friendly path and keep supporting my friends and co-workers on what they want to look like and help them feel confident about themselves. Fashion and beauty are my calling and I will continue to share that gift with others. LuLu’s can be for everyone!

    January 5, 2010 at 7:03 pm
  75. Melissa C.

One of my fashion resolutions for this new year is to add more colors to my wardrobe because I have alot of dark colored clothes. For this resolution, I would wear the La La Love Dress in Teal!

    http://www.lulus.com/products/La+La+Love+Dress+in+Teal/17479.html

It’s a bright color yet very fun and cute because it has one sleeve. I’m loving this dress!

    January 5, 2010 at 7:17 pm
  76. Stephanie Orudiakumo

I am already into color but laziness has kind of stifled the Lisa Frank in me. My New Years resolution is to be colorful but refine it in a more eclectic way. What just popped out to me was the New Retro Rewind Dress by Collective Concepts. Gorgeous.

My fashion resolution is probably a boring one. But I want to stop just admiring beautiful clothes that aren’t normal items I would have in my wardrobe and start wearing them. I love making clothing sets on polyvore.com and I wanna make some of the sets incorporate in my wardrobe. Like the dress that is posted for this blog! Its so pretty but normally I’m afraid to wear items like these but this year I’m going to try em all!

Fashion resolution: get more wear out of my ankle boots! I’d pair them with Lulu’s McAdams Frill Dress, Teen Spirit Leggings in Fuchsia, with black ruffled ankle booties I already own :)

My fashion resulution is to not cover up my style with boring outwear – I would wear the dusty rose From Afar Sweater to liven things up.

This year I resolve to stop always wearing boring black dresses- and to wear a fun, colorful dress for every black dress I wear. For example, the Rio de Janeiro Dress is fun!

Resolution: Not to only wear black coats because they are universal. Sometimes it’s nice to have a burst of color. Olive Peacoat by Volcom in Spicy Orange would definitely jump start this resolution!
