fall trends you can wear now

It may still be sweltering out but Fall will be here in the blink of an eye. And with the new season comes a slew of new trends just ready to be tried. That said, just because a new season is technically here it doesn’t mean the weather automatically shifts to cooler temps (it would be convenient for the forecast to reflect our fashion needs, but alas). So rather than wait until it actually feels like fall to update your look, get a jump on the must-have trends now with styles that are also weather appropriate (a win-win!). Ahead, five trends that will be major in the upcoming season and work in your wardrobe right now — because who wants to wait, anyway?

Ruching:

The It-detail of the early 2000s fashion is back with a serious vengeance. Look for gathering on everything from crop tops to mini dresses, and get ready for this look to hug your curves in the best way.

Leopard Print:

For Fall 2018, designers are wild for animal print (sorry, we had to). Go for a full-on rawr-worthy look with a leopard-print clothing piece or add just a hit of the classic spots with an accessory like a hat, belt, or ankle strap pumps.

Red:

The fashion world can’t get enough of this notice-me hue. For the upcoming season, we’re loving bold red in every incarnation from jumpsuits to dresses to fitted tees and more.

Bold Florals:

If it looks like it could be a wallpaper print, sign us up. Next season’s floral prints are bold, rich and a little unexpected. Get your fall garden on with a dress or a top and watch your look bloom.

Rust:

This fall, the hybrid sister of pink, red, and orange is here to give your wardrobe an instant update. Richer than blush but not quite as loud as red or fuchsia, there’s something distinctly autumnal about this hue. Don’t wait for the leaves to turn, though — it’s available on mini dresses, jumpsuits, striped tops and all kinds of warm-weather fare you can rock ASAP.
