Also known as a parasol, brolly, rainshade, sunshade, gamp, or bumbershoot, the umbrella has long been both a practical and pretty accesosory. Originally from the ancient Greek ómbros for shade or shadow, the umbrella is forever an icon of youth and elegance. In today’s world of bright ducky and panda umbrellas, there is a severe absence of this once-ubiquitous and always-elegant accent.
