My friend Daniel … or rather my photographer friend of new … has, this year, introduced me to a photographer, graphic designer and vintage-inspired fashionista extraordinaire named Kelty. I did a profile on her when I first started blogging for Lulus.com.

However, since then, Kelty’s work has only gotten better and better and, yes, awesome. Her website, Steep Street Photography, is fun, bright and filled with visual goodies. Daniel recently posted a link to Kelty’s blog which had this post about how she put some outfits together.

Here are some of Kelty’s new outfits with her commentary and instructions:

“Here’s the simple recipe: 1 silk sleeveless dress, 1 poofy underskirt, 1 blouse, 1 vest, 1 belt, 1 pair of tights, 1 pair of suede heels, 1 silk scarf, 2 brooches, a pair of vintage frames and a mishmash of bangles, earrings and necklaces. I encourage you all to remix, reimagine, and reconstruct your own closet accordingly.”

We embraced a fun blend of colors and patterns that resulted in an interesting four faces of Hannah (the model and Kelty’s sister) … part Ugly Betty, part Grandma, part Nerdy Librarian, and a little Runway Diva all patchworked together. Each one makes me giggle.
