Daft Punk and Deadmau5 are both releasing albums this week, giving us all a month to practice our dance moves to their latest tracks before getting bombarded by them during New Year’s Eve dance parties. Sweet!
Daft Punk’s album is the soundtrack they created for the upcoming Tron: Legacy, out December 17. Just watching this special music video featuring one of the tracks was enough to get me stoked (and sharing on Facebook, of course). See if you can spot the cameo of band toward the end…
Say what you will about the music Disney usually supports (I’m lookin’ at you, Miley), but an opportunity for new Daft Punk ain’t something I’ll turn my nose up to.
Deadmau5’s 4x4x12 presents tracks to the public that the DJ has already been playing for concert goers for the past year, a trick that’s definitely raised the anticipation level for a record that follows right on the heels of last year’s For Lack of a Better Name.
Check out this clip of a concert he gave in the UK this winter (Trust me, it’s pretty rad):
Between the awesome showmanship Deadmau5 brings to the stage and the epic mixes that flow from his fingertips, I’d say you’d be hard pressed to find a more spectacular dance record this year.
Will you be rocking tracks from these albums at your next dance party?
