ArtSite to See: Camilla do Rosario’s Portfolio

Brazilian-born Camilla do Rosario is a young fashion illustrator extraordinaire making waves in the design world, regardless of the fact the she is only in her early twenties! Her colorless line work melts seamlessly into a modern color palette with tribal tendencies, and not only is she a master of drawing and painting, but this South American phenom has a careful eye for collage as well. Her sketchblog on Tumblr is enough to make you dig out your pad and get drawing, but her portfolio features even more of the polished pieces seen below!

ArtDeep Sea Gallery by Andreas Franke

If you’d like to see Austrian photographer Andreas Franke‘s latest exhibit, you’re going to need to invest in some new equipment, because the Stavronikita Project: The Life Above Refined Below, is quite far below, indeed. Images of Rococo decadence are set amongst the decaying wreckage of the SS Stavronikita, and the only place you can see it is 80 ft below the surface of the ocean, off the coast of Barbados, aboard the shipwreck itself. As you might imagine, the gallery is set up with a little help from plexiglass, silicone, a steel frame, and super strong magnets. So, scuba fans, grab your gear, because you can still catch it through April 2013!

ArtFiercely Feminine: Meet Artist Zso

If living in New York and working as a designer/artist has ever been your dream, then meet the woman who’s living the dream; Sara Blake, otherwise known as the artist Zso. With a fierce sense of femininity, and line-work that’s off the flipping charts, Zso’s content ranges from abstract color fields broken by lightning bolts of line, to inky portraiture, and typography slicker than a ’70s hairdo.

ArtThe Macabre Artwork of Eveline Tarunadjaja

In honor of the spirited holiday that is upon us, I couldn’t help but bring in the darkly beautiful imagery of Australia-based artist, Eveline Tarunadjaja. With feminine line work that is both intricate and obsessive, Eveline masterfully lays down floating mounds of hair, Rorschach-like patterns, and stunning interpretations of textiles.
