]]> Rounding up the best of blogger shots for autumn was no easy task! We get so many great photos from our bloggers that it is often hard to choose! Since it is fall here in the states, I decided to choose photos with a warm color palette and plenty of layers. Take a look below!

On the left we have Monroe of Fashion Steele NYC wearing our Come on Over Pleated dress, which is a good fall layering piece. On the right we have Jessica of Jump Into Puddles in our Mink Pink Once A Cheetah sweater and Yoki Chelsea ankle boots. I love tights and shorts for the fall!

Nicole of Running In Wedges blog styled our She’s Got Legs Rust Orange Maxi Skirt. Deep orange is a perfect autumn shade and maxis are great for staying warm!

Katie of Skunkboy Creatures blog in our First In Line Black Striped Dress. Although this dress would be really cool year-round,
adding burgundy tights makes it a perfect fit for the chilly months of the year!

Metallics are my favorite this fall! They make any outfit flirty and fun! This dress, with its classic cut, is perfect for all the holiday festivities and for adding a bit of fun during the drab winter months! Veronica of Bitter Sweet Colours blog makes our gold-flecked dress and patent heels look perfectly demure.

Monroe of Fashion Steele wearing one of fall’s hottest shoes, the sneaker wedge! She tried our Wild Diva Lounge Bubble Sneaker and I think she nailed it!

]]> Since October rolled around, we could really feel the weather changing and the days shortening. The good news is that this means fall fashion is in full swing, but it also means we’re thinking about Halloween a lot more! This week we’re going to show you how to do some awesome pumpkins or jack-o-lanterns on your nails, which are an awesome themed manicure for Halloween or Thanksgiving.
Here’s the look we’re going for:
What you’ll need:
  • white base colour
  • yellow nail polish
  • orange nail polish
  • striper brush
Start with a few coats of your base colour, letting each coat dry in between.
Then take a yellow polish and apply it to the tip of your nail in two strokes, forming the top part of a heart.
Then use your striper brush and dip into your orange colour. Apply the orange on top of the yellow in wedge-like shapes. Fill in the whole pumpkin shape, just leaving fine yellow stripes. (I did the yellow before the orange because my yellow is so sheer, it wouldn’t show up on top of the orange. If your yellow polish is more opaque, feel free to reverse the two steps above!)
Clean off your brush with some nail polish remover and then dip into the green polish. Apply a little stem on top of your pumpkin!
OPTIONAL: Apply little swirly vines on the tops of some pumpkins with the same green. or add jack-o-lantern faces to your pumpkins with a black nail art pen!
Top coat and you’re done!

]]> Aside from all the amazing clothes, my other favorite part of seeing the various designer collections each season is checking out the beauty concepts debuted at each show. So far, one of my favorites has been Vera Wang. Cruising through Style.com for all the latest shows as they come out is one of the easiest ways to take a behind-the-scenes look at the newest and hottest beauty trends for the coming season. With a modern spin on the ever popular smokey eye, the team at Clé de Peau Beauté smudged beautiful shades of soft charcoal and what looks to be hints of camel and violet. It is ultra-feminine, yet still strong and powerful with the focus of the entire look being the eye. 

A soft peach lip compliments the deep and smokey eye without overpowering the look.

This is a look I will definitely be trying out this fall!

]]> Wow! We are working hard here at Lulus.com getting ready for the Fall season. New shipments are coming in every day with cozy items for the impending cold weather.

We had two favorites this week, the first picked by our model Michelle, seen below wearing the Lulea Vest [sold out!]. This vest has those great zippers that have been so hot this season, combined with a vintage feel from the great vegan fur and leather.

The second item is the Cute as a Button Shrug [sold out!]. Brittany, our marvelous customer service rep (who doubles as a personal shopper if you ever need some advice ;) ) put it perfectly: “Put buttons on a scarf and it is everything. It just makes so much sense!”

Talk about snuggle time! This shrug works as a scarf, vest, sleeves, jackets, etc., etc., a perfect wear all. Kendra, below, is showing but a few of the various ways to wear this bad boy.
