One of my all time favorite fashion models has once again graced us with her undeniable beauty and ability to capture our undivided attention in this editorial was shot by Ellen von Unwerth for Vogue China January 2011. Here, Jessica Stam is featured both behind and in front of the camera as a woman of many talents. While the styling and look of this shoot couldn’t get more of the moment, Stam’s classic beauty shines through.

Color Theory: A Blunt Statement!

It doesn’t matter how in LOVE you are with fashion, sometimes it gets a little bit monotonous. That’s why, when I come across an editorial or feature that explores color, form, texture, and composition in an unapologetic way I get very excited and have to share my finds as soon as possible! And to realize that my color theory classes paid off!

This editorial is, while not complicated or overachieving (in terms of elaborate set construction or provocative posing of some fashion model I’ve never heard of but “need” to know), an exquisite look at the color and silhouette trends of the season. Here, Emily Blunt is photographed by Paola Kudacki for Harper’s Bazaar UK January 2011 issue.

Above, Blunt (in Tom Ford), depicts the movement of the fringe fad in the most elegant way.

And here two toned, jewel toned, ensembles are all the rage and keep things youthfully daring while remaining conventionally comfortable, silhouette wise.

Above and bellow brilliant orange in deep and light shades bring light to even the most stark environments.

Model Highlight: Color Theory with Jessica Stam

I’ve taken so many color theory classes that I couldn’t help but applaud Sølve Sundsbø for his photographic exploration in color for this editorial featuring one of fashion’s top models, Jessica Stam.

I might be biased because I love Jessica Stam in almost all of the editorials and shows that I’ve seen her in but this is my first known glimpse of Sølve Sundsbø’s work (because he’s a photographer we’ve probably all seen something but not realized it). However, I think almost anyone would enjoy gasping at this daring exercise in saturated neons, metallics, and silhouettes.

I don’t know about you, but my hat is off to this duo’s successful collaboration!

Looking forward to the 2011 fashion season?

Among the bold spring colors and modern upcoming looks, one of the freshest faces you will see is sixteen year old Kirsi Pyrhonen!

A native of Finland, Kirsi was discovered in an Ikea at age thirteen, and made her debut last spring for Ann-Sofie Back.

With her coy elfin features and earthy innocence, I couldn’t help but be drawn into her striking look!

Part of her photo shoot with Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia, Kirsi’s face alone is so well defined and memorable.

From romantic to fantastic, this girl can do it all!

Serine UPDATE from LONDON!!

Here’s the latest news(from LONDON) on one of the first EVER Lulus.com models, SERINE!

Serine has been wearing Lulus.com out and about town and below is a picture of a SUPER cute outfit that she styled!

Serine got a gig modeling for the trade show Pure in London last week and it went so well that someone even blogged about her! Below Serine models for a line called Emami and these pics were posted on Lovestretch a yoga, lounge, and work clothing site.
