FashionFilm to Fashion: South Pacific!

It’s still summer, and there’s plenty of time to talk beach fashion! In honor of Beach Bonfire Week, today’s film-inspired fashion board is all about the tropical temptresses in the film South Pacific. These retro hotties knew how to look chic on the beach in cute high-waisted shorts, crop tops, summery sleeveless tops, and modest, forties-style bikinis. To achieve this look, mix in plenty of color with your everyday neutrals (or army drabs), and don’t be afraid to add a savory sunhat and shades!

Guest BloggerRed, White & Cute style with Mara of MLovesM

Hello! Mara of M Loves M here. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! It means summer, sun, BBQs, family/friends, and of course our country’s independence. Basically this means an outfit with stars, stripes, or good ol’ red, white and blue is a necessity! For this 4th of July I wanted to wear pieces that I could wear throughout the summer season. I fell in love with this flowy red maxi skirt and thought it would be perfect dressed down with a blue chambray top. This is the perfect outfit for an outdoor BBQ because you’ll stay cool and comfortable while still looking ultra chic. Plus, you gotta love maxis for protecting you against a nasty sunburn during the day and those pesky mosquito in the evening. These nude sandals are beautiful for warm weather, and the contrasting green ankle strap gives them a little something extra.

What are all of you thinking about wearing tomorrow? Happy early 4th! xox
