Even if you don’t enjoy grocery shopping, you’re about to get swept down the aisle with model Constance Jablonski as she peruses over pineapples and carries on with the cabbages. Who could possibly be a big enough star to have Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Brian Atwood, Suno, Opening Ceremony, and Giles & Brother clammering to design custom pieces for an eight page spread in November’s issue of InStyle magazine??

That’s right, ’tis the Pig herself. She’s been on hiatus for twelve years, but now Miss Piggy and her Muppet friends are back on the scene to promote their star-studded comeback on November 23 of this year. Check out her haute spread, below, and watch her exclusive interview on InStyle’s Facebook (it’s worth it to hear what she thought of GaGa’s frog ensemble…).

Looks We ♥: Peplum Dresses

Peplums, flounces or basques, whichever way you call them, we are loving the flattering look of a simple peplum waistline. We give thanks to Christian Dior who added a little slice of fabric to his dresses in the forties and fifties (sparking this modern trend) though Christian himself may have been inspired by the ancient Greek Peplos, a style of dress that draped about the waistline creating the illusion of a separate top and bottom.

Moschino was ahead of the game with their fall 2011 looks, which would all make amazing holiday dresses.

Fresh looks in the fall 2012 shows included this gorgeous pink peplum dress by Jason Wu and a classic white piece by Cushnie et Ochs.

Jason Wu‘s Spring 2010 Collection has inspired the masses to adorn lofty, draped, chiffon dresses everywhere and anywhere. For example (below), this wonderful style dress was first seen on the runway at the Jason Wu show, then on Zoe Saldana at the T Magazine Party on Style.com.
