CelebrityRed Carpet Recap: The 88th Annual Academy Awards!

Our favorite award show has come and gone, but, my oh my, last night was spectacular! Jacob Tremblay stole the show with his never-ending adorable, Lady Gaga gave a performance that had the stars (and those of us at home) in tears, and, let’s be real, the moment we had all been waiting for finally took place, and Leonardo DiCaprio was finally given the Oscar he deserves! But before all of that, just take a look at what the 88th Annual Academy Awards red carpet looked like!

Charlize Theron was a Dior dame in her ravishing red gown, and her neck was draped in stunning stones!

These gals look incredible in ivory! Lady Gaga wore a strapless Brandon Maxwell number, Isla Fisher wore an off-the-shoulder floral Marchesa, and Rooney Mara’s Givenchy gown was delightfully detailed!

Naomi Watts and Margot Robbie were STUNNING in sequins at the Oscars! Naomi looked like an Armani Privé mermaid, while Margot was statuesque in a gold Tom Ford!

Priyanka Chopra was the definition of demure, making her strapless Zuhair Murad look like an absolute dream!

These two starlets had us green with envy on the red carpet! Rachel McAdams was sophisticated in August Getty Atelier, and Saoirse Ronan wore the perfect emerald Calvin Klein!

Alicia Vikander was, quite literally, the “Belle” of the ball in a yellow Louis Vuitton! And she was able to accent it nicely with her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress!

Would it really be a red carpet without Jennifer Lawrence totally slaying? Well, she did it again in the most gorgeous Dior dress!

Now is the time when we take a moment to reflect on the men of the evening…. Le siiiiiiigh.

(from left to right: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jared Leto, Henry Cavill)

If Jacob Tremblay didn’t totally steal your heart in Room, he did at last night’s awards! I mean, seriously, is he not the cutest thing ever?!

Brie still, our beating hearts! Brie Larson, the beyond deserving winner of the Oscar for Best Actress in Room, also won the red carpet in the most beautiful blue Gucci dress. That belt, those pleats, that award-winning smile… We were simply smitten. Congrats, Brie!

The best moment of the night? When Leonardo DiCaprio was finally named victorious, taking home the Oscar for Best Actor in The Revenant. And hey, all he had to do was wrestle a bear for it! Congratulations, Leo!

We’ll catch you on the next red carpet, loves! Until then, who were your favorites of the evening?
