<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">Meet Allie</span></strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">, the absolutely amazing model from our new lookbook, The Girl &amp; The Sea. She was incredibly genuine and fun to be around, plus super easy to talk to! Below we asked her a few Q&#8217;s so you could get to know her more. And, as an added bonus, we have some exclusive pics from the lookbook that you can only see on the blog! </span></div>
<div></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">1. What&#8217;s your sign?</span></span></em><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br />
</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">I&#8217;m a full-on LEO.</span></span></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">2. How did you get into modeling?</span></span></em></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">I started modeling as a 9 year-old, shooting catalogue for department stores. My mom sacrificed several days a week to drive me to San Francisco and sit through my shoots.</span></span></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></span></em></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">3. What is your favorite spring trend?</span></span></em></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">I&#8217;m into all the loud graphic prints that are recently popular. I also looove maxis. Super flattering and comfy. <img src='http://blog.lulus.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></span></div>
<div></div>
<div><img class="aligncenter" src="/images/blog/xxxxx09.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="329" /></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">4. I couldn&#8217;t live without my&#8230;</span></span></em></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">Kickboxing class! I literally look forward to it the whole week, and when the class is cancelled or there is a substitute instructor, it ruins my day.</span></span></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">5. What do you see as the next &#8220;it&#8221; thing?</span></span></em></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">I&#8217;m a big fan of cool athletic gear. I love a good track suit, and drop-crotch sweats with high-tops. Right now, most girls are afraid to dress like a guy with street style . . . but I love it, and I think it will catch on.</span></span></div>
<div></div>
<div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.lulus.com/products/press-play-orange-bangle-set/48609.html" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter" src="/images/blog/banghle.jpg" alt="" width="250" height="309" /></a><a href="http://www.lulus.com/products/press-play-orange-bangle-set/48609.html" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter" src="/images/blog/window(1).jpg" alt="" width="250" height="309" /></a><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br />
</span></div>
<div><span style="font-size: medium;"><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">6. What&#8217;s your new favorite item on Lulus.com right now?</span></em></span></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">As soon as warm weather hits, I stack on the bangles. I love the &#8220;Press Play Orange Bangle Set&#8221;. Orange looks good with everything.</span></span></div>
<div></div>
<div><img class="aligncenter" src="/images/blog/Untitled-3XXX.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="329" /><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><br />
</span></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">7.What was your favorite part/shot of the recent lookbook shoot?</span></span></em><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">Easy! My favorite part of the shoot was towards the end of the day, when we were out on the boat, trying to get the shot on the bow . . . the whole boat was rocking back and forth like CRAZY. I was trying to stand up and look amazing, (and not look like I felt as if we were in Antarctica), while struggling to keep my balance and not fall into the water. I ended up falling down 20 times, crashing from one side to the next&#8230; but it was hilarious and I laughed the whole time. I like a challenge. <img src='http://blog.lulus.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></span></div>
<div></div>
<div><img class="aligncenter" src="/images/blog/xxxxx06.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="329" /></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></div>
<div><span style="font-size: medium;"><em><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">8. What was your favorite/least favorite thing about being on The City?</span></em></span></div>
<div>
<div class="yiv1581729261layout-border_fakePadding" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.2em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">Oh man&#8230; I have too many answers for this question. My favorite thing about the show was watching the edited episodes. We never had a CLUE how the scenes were actually going to end up after the editors chopped and stirred every reaction and situation. It was always a shock.  </span></div>
<div class="yiv1581729261layout-border_fakePadding" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.2em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"></div>
<div class="yiv1581729261layout-border_fakePadding" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.2em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">My least favorite part would be . . . being portrayed to the world as someone I&#8217;m not. It&#8217;s annoying to be forced to act whiny, sad and upset all the time, when I was actually very happy and having fun. I remember always saying &#8220;Aw mannn do I have to act sad again?&#8221; &#8220;Do we have to fight again?&#8221;  &#8221;Cant we do a happy, fun scene?&#8221; Then the one time I was told we were filming a &#8220;fun, girls night out&#8221; but the episode was ACTUALLY about a sad, bitter woman confronting me about being too thin. #notcool</span></div>
<div class="yiv1581729261layout-border_fakePadding" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.2em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"></div>
<div class="yiv1581729261layout-border_fakePadding" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.2em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><img class="aligncenter" src="/images/blog/xzxxxx21.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="329" /></div>

<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"> </span></div>
<div><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma;">9. Any advice for aspiring models?</span></span></em></div>
<div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="line-height: 14px;">Sure, the #1 piece of advice I will give to aspiring models is **you cannot take criticism personally. We get paid to be criticized and judged by anyone and everyone. You have to think of your image like a tool you use to make money. If your agency tells you your skin isn&#8217;t presentable- go to a dermatologist, do what you need to do to fix it. If you&#8217;re told you&#8217;re too skinny or too thick, you <em>CAN&#8217;T</em> let it make you depressed. Just realize your image is your tool, and you can&#8217;t let it get you down. There will ALWAYS be criticism and mean comments out there, but that&#8217;s part of the job&#8230; a BIG part of the job. xx</span></span></div>
