CelebrityStyle File: 2013 MTV Video Music Awards!

If you missed the MTV Video Music Awards this year, you’re sure to have been filled in on all the exciting moments. Miley was shocking, *NSYNC was dreamy, and the fashion was absolutely fabulous! Below are the lovely ladies (and a couple of gents) that made our Best Dressed list for the night!

statementsirens

Statement Sirens: Rita Ora turned the red carpet sky blue with the dramatic train on her Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress, while Selena Gomez commanded the crowd in a sexy studded Atelier Versace!

ciara

Ciara was simply stunning on the red carpet! Her delicately detailed Givenchy gown was flawless, and she was quite the show-stopper!

mtvmavens

MTV Mavens: We were totally taken by the two leading ladies of MTV’s Teen Wolf. Crystal Reed wore a brilliant red Zac Posen number, while Holland Roden wore an ivory pant/dress hybrid that was flirty & fun!

daftpunk

Dapper Punks: We tend to focus on the ladies for our style recaps, but come on, how could we NOT mention the most dashing duo of the night? Daft Punk made us swoon in their suit & tie combos, with shoes that had more sparkle than their signature helmets!

backtobasics

Back to Basics: We couldn’t help but be completely smitten with these babes, who chose to keep it classic & classy! Naya Rivera was a total knockout in her floor-length Paco Rabanne, and Allison Williams (a repeat favorite of ours) was très chic in Valentino!

taylor

Taylor, Taylor, Taylor!

She was our hands-down favorite in Hervé Léger By Max Azria. The  midnight blue gown fit her like a glove, and the bodice was to-die-for. Taylor totally encompassed Old-Hollywood glamour! We are still buzzing about this dress (and her blatant diss to ex Harry Styles!), and want to congratulate her on her VMA win!

What fashion found you “oohing” & “aahing” at the VMA’s?

MusicListen Up! Robin Thicke Releases Blurred Lines

Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke releases “Blurred Lines” today!

Hey, hey, hey!  If you’ve been bootie-shaking to Robin Thicke’s seventies-inspired track “Blurred Lines” all summer, then it’s time to add a few more dance tracks to your collection. Following a fairly silent release of “Love After War” in 2011, Thicke’s latest venture steers off the tracks of his previous R&B  pursuits, and onto a pop music path that pulls a vibrant, free-flowing energy from his party boy lifestyle. “Blurred Lines” (the album) makes a stylish comeback for disco too, weaving some Marvin Gaye or early MJ -style licks throughout this perky dance album…with a few R&B songs thrown in on the end.
