Pull & Bear Spring 2011 Campaign

Fashion | 22 April 2011

by

When I came across the Spring 2011 Campaign for Pull and Bear on Fashion Gone Rogue, I got so excited that I just couldn’t wait to share it!

The soft and ethereal vibe of these pictures is so breathtaking! This Spanish line is being added to my list of favorites! I can’t wait to see what they do next!

I love the use of patterns and stunning natural backgrounds. How perfect is that floral crown?

Lots of lace and soft muted tones, perfect for Spring!

This is such a great shot! I love the barely there makeup with flower petals adorning the face. So conceptual, yet it somehow doesn’t seem over the top.

Make sure to check out this amazing campaign and don’t skip the video! It’s absolutely amazing, like the perfect summer actualized in a short film. It reminds me of summers in Chico, relaxing in the park and swimming in the creek. Enjoy!

Bambi Northwood-Blyth, a twenty-year-old model from Australia, has become quite a sensation in the fashion world. After being signed to Elite in 2010, this young beauty’s career has quickly taken off. Walking in shows such as Diesel, Rag and Bone, and Chanel, she has fast become one of fashion’s freshest new faces.

Featured in magazines such as Harpers Bazaar (above) and in Look Books such as Style Stalker’s Desert Fox (below), Bambi has gotten quite the attention! With trademark eyebrows and full lips this model truly has a unique look.

I love this playful shot, shown above! All of the colors in the background and her expression make for a really fun picture!

What do you think of Bambi’s look? Who would you say is your favorite model?

The Beautiful Photography of Ann He

Spring decided to join us for a few days recently and then retreated back, giving winter a few more showers and cold, gusty winds. In an attempt to bring Spring back to us in full swing, I decided to spotlight a young photographer, Ann He, whose work is simply breathtaking and reminds me of warm days and flowing dresses. Even if winter decides to stick around for a few more weeks, these images will tide me over and keep me waiting for the springtime!

At only sixteen, Ann has a natural ability to capture a magical mood and mystery in each image. Her work is undeniably feminine, with long hair, nature, and soft focus being trademarks of her images. Although her landscape shots blew me away, she seems to have an inclination and talent for fashion photography.

With work featured in Elle Girl KoreaDisFunkshion Magazine, and several more, this teen is making a name for herself and making the world a little sweeter with such beautiful pictures. It is so inspirational to see artists as young as Ann with so much talent and drive.

Make sure to check out Ann’s website for more gorgeous photos. With so many to choose from it was not easy to just pick a few!

Lady Gaga In i-D Magazine April 2011

Celebrity | 06 April 2011

Lady Gaga never ceases to create a buzz. Love her or hate her, you better get used to her because she isn’t going anywhere. Featured in so many magazines, online articles, and more, Gaga seems to be everywhere we look. Take, for example, the new spread in i-D magazine for April 2011. Gaga is the cover girl with a small but totally memorable feature within. Inside “The Exhibitionist” issue, Gaga shows off her now famous facial and shoulder prostheses, multicolor hair, and dark, dramatic lips and eyes.

I love these images. To me, Gaga seems to be redefining the idea of beauty. With an extraterrestrial aesthetic and bizarre yet beautiful makeup and hair, these photographs draw you in, making you wonder what exactly you are looking at. For additional pictures check out the full spread at i-D Magazine’s site.

What are your thoughts on Lady Gaga? Do you love it, or is it all too much for you?

Blogger Spotlight: Bebe of Fated to be Hated

Fashion | 11 February 2011

by

The blogging world never ceases to amaze me. There are so many stylish ladies out there with totally inspiring photo sets, creative outfits, and overall star quality. Every girl has a different style and whether it be girly, modern, eclectic, or clean cut, I am equally smitten with their style as long at they have that special eye for details. On that note, let me introduce you to my latest obsession, Bebe of Fated to be Hated.

With a splash of 90′s Norwegian metal mixed with a bit of bohmeian gypsy, Bebe hits spring trends without skipping a beat. Her own eclectic style always shines through even while skipping playfully throughout different looks and trends.

This photo in particular was my favorite. Bringing me back to 8th grade in 1995, I absolutely had to post it.

Channeling Heathers, a cult classic movie from 1988, as well as Cher Horowitz from Clueless, Bebe effortlessly pulls off what many could not.

With an already impressive resume, Bebe has been featured in Seventeen Magazine and has been shot by known party photographer, The Cobra Snake. She even modeled vintage looks for The Cobra Shop, a store run by the noted photographer. Make sure to check out her blog and get ready to get addicted!
