Red Done Right: Rihanna and Natasha Bedingfield put the red carpet to shame in crimson, floor-length gowns, completing their look with subtle make-up, and loose waves.

Babes in Black: Whether dressed up or barely dressed at all, these two divas always look fab. Beyonce kept it cool & trendy in a color block suit, meanwhile, J. Lo left little to the imagination in Anthony Vaccarello.

Southern Show-Stopper: Along with an amazing performance, Carrie Underwood simply slayed in Roberto Cavalli! We couldn’t take our eyes off the intricate bodice and Carrie’s sultry look.

Pretty in Prints: The always adorable Adele ditched the dark and went for a bold patterned dress, and Alexa Chung was the picture of perfection in Valentino.

Brilliant Bodices: Kelly Rowland looked sexy in strategic cut-outs, and Allison Williams hung up her preppy ‘Girls’ digs for a beautiful beaded gown.

And the Winner Is…: Taylor Swift looked almost reminiscent of a Grecian goddess in a mythical J. Mendel gown that was simply unmatched. Taylor has looked nothing shy of phenomenal as of late, and we can’t wait to see what she shows up in next!

Combining stripes and florals is also quite common. Our popular Mix Master Dress in Orange (pictured left) already does it for you! I love how the orange stripes really tie in with the bright orange flowers. Lulu*s stylist, Cara, took a fashion forward step by pairing the new Day at the Circus Top with the bright Pretty as a Poppy Skirt (pictured right). The look is rather striking, but it works!

Any performer’s dream is to one day walk the red carpet of the Grammy Awards. The two most important things for any artist at the Grammys is their acceptance speech and their outfit.

Out of all the dresses that walked down the red carpet at the 2010 Grammy Awards, the elegant backless style worn by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Rihanna were some of our favorites.  We feel that all three of these artists pulled their gowns off perfectly, showing their back but still showing class.

Like always, Taylor swift looks beautiful in an off the shoulder backless blue gown from Kaufman Franco.

Katy Perry shows off her elegance in a backless beige and gold gown from Zac Posen.

Rihanna looks stunning in a high neck, open back white gown detailed with feathers from Elie Saab Haute Couture.

I thought Keri Hilson looked amazing in this dress by Dolce & Gabbana, she definitely was my favorite of the night. Fergie also looked gorgeous wearing a design by Emilio Pucci.

Jennifer Hudson looked stunning on the red carpet in a dress from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2010 collection. A similar look at Lulus, the Bye Bye Baby Dress [sold out!] makes a statement with a slim waistline and powerful shoulders.

But what to wear?

The dress code for flying has changed over the years. Flying was once a special occasion that required formal attire. But with the stress of holiday travel, airport security, flight delays and cramped cabin seating, those high heels and nylons may loose their appeal when you start to blister and itch.

Courtesy of People Stylewatch, we’ve got some great pics of celebs who, though having to travel frequently, manage to maintain their star quality and style when everything’s up in the air. 

Above, I like how Ashlee Simpson’s look is so basic yet still a statement by topping it all off with a chic hat. Meanwhile, New Moon cutie Ashley Greene pairs an elegant faux fur jacket with skinny blue jeans for a warm and casual look. Rihanna keeps her cool with a stylin’ black cap and funky work boots.

Taking hints from all these styles, my most put-together outfit for air travel would have to be: an oversized top, like the Euclidean Space Top by Brandy Melville [sold out!], skinny Kill City Jeans with stylish detailing, and a cute ladies fedora to top it all off. All this paired with shades will have you fightin’ off the paparazzi like a star.

Now if you want to take flight the old-fashioned way, just take a look at Mad Men star John Hamm and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese. These two take the cake when it comes to style. Go them!
