With October being an increasingly popular time of year to get married, this has left us wondering, “what to wear?” Our friend Andrea over at Blonde Bedhead counts wedding photography as one of her many talents so she is constantly heading to various venues and different style weddings. Sometimes it can be challenging to find the right piece for each occasion and to anticipate what to wear based on the information given. For this series, Andrea will show us 3 different style wedding venues with advice on what to wear so you are both dressed to code and stylishly appropriate! Read below for more details!
Hi everyone! I’m Andrea and I blog over at Blonde Bedhead! I am so excited to share my styling advice for Fall weddings! For intimate weddings at venues like the English Inn, the attire calls for color to match the natural beauty of the estate. Gardens, historic architecture and a quiet countryside make it a perfect location for a fall wedding. And fun to dress up for!
With fall weddings at similar locations, you’ll spend time both indoors and outdoors for the ceremony and reception. For this intimate, romantic location, I chose an easy maxi dress with a kimono and heels. A bold maxi dress with a floral kimono fits the dress code, but it’s also comfortable and practical. You can layer the kimono for the outside ceremony and shed it once you’re ready to hit the dance floor!
Tip: Pack flats to change into during the cocktail hour! This is your opportunity to roam the gardens and it’s just easier in flats. I’ve stumbled and have had my heels sink in grass too many times to not finally learn my lesson!
See you Wednesday for more ideas and inspo for another beautiful wedding location!

Sophisticated Style: Sophie Turner’s lengths of red locks are totally enviable! She tends to play up her pretty ice-blue eyes, while staying subtle with her lip color. You’ll find her on the red carpet donning neutral tones, lace, and conservative-yet-flattering cuts, for an overall style that’s chic, classic, and perfect for a young starlet.
The Acting Bug: Turner joined her local theater group when she was only three years old, and she’s been acting her heart out ever since! She may be young, but she has acting talent and experience beyond her years. We can’t wait to see her in many leading roles to come!
Happy-Go-Lucky: You may know her as the character Sansa Stark, but Turner is quite different from her Game of Thrones counterpart. Turner is a staunch Sansa supported, but she admits that she prefers to keep things happy and lighthearted, whereas Sansa’s life is serious and often dark. Turner touched on this in an interview with Rolling Stone, stating: ”It’s quite nice coming off doing a dark, upsetting scene. It’s a relief that it’s over with, and then you can get back to happy old Sophie.”
Now that you’ve had your first taste of True Blood in months, (or perhaps it’s still burning a hole in your DVR…don’t worry, you’re not alone!), here’s a little thirst-quencher to tide you through to next week’s episode. Take a page from the Sookie Stackhouse style archives, and get girly in pretty prints, dainty fabrics, and sweet sundresses. Then add simple, fuss-free accessories and feminine flats, because when you spend as much time running for your life as this Bon Temps beauty, high heels will only slow you down. And those vampires are fast!
Who’s the fairest of them all? No really, take your pick! These kaleidoscopic cuties add a dose of stylish symmetry to your ensemble, with a psychedelic twist on all our favorite botanical patterns. So the next time you’re getting dressed, take some time to reflect!
