BeautyTrend Alert: Candy-Colored Nails by Obsessive Compulsive

I have a confession: I’m wearing nail polish for the first time in a decade!
I can’t help it, I’m totally smitten by the candy-colored palette I just received from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Not only is OCC 100% vegan and cruelty-free, but the color palettes are totally on-trend, and the quality far exceeds the price (just like LuLu*s!). When I brought these new colors out, the warehouse became a frenzy of nail painting and we discovered that these nail lacquers have a super-smooth coat that goes on really nicely, and dries quickly. What more could you want?

Obsessive Compulsive Nail Lacquer in Something, Pansy, and Pageant.
The Results: The warehouse favorite was undoubtedly Something, being a creamy almost-but-not-too-shocking shade of pastel blue. For me, though, it’s gotta be Pansy, bearing an in-between shade of pinky-purple that is actually a little more subtle than pictured.
Check out their entire color palette here!

GeneralLuLu*s at Vida Vegan Con!

Late last month, LuLu*s was lucky enough to take part in an awesome vegan convention! At Vida Vegan Con, LuLu*s, along wth other exhibitors, had the chance to mingle with our vegan fans and customers in addition to vegan industry favorites! With amazing exhibitors such as Coconut Bliss, So Delicious, Daiya and more. We were able to connect with some of our most valued customers! Here at LuLu*s, we pride ourselves in offering one of the largest selections of vegan shoes and handbags on the web! With a section on the site of quality and cruelty free products, LuLu*s has been able to offer products to all customers, whether vegan or not. FashionTrend Report: Black Boleros and Utilitarian Style

<!– caught Lily Donaldson (one of my favorite models) in an adorably casual outfit that made black bolero hats and utilitarian style suitable for any event.

This was the Premiere and Dinner of the documentary about the graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child. The documentary explores the life and work of Jean-Michel Basquiat with archival footage and directed by his close friend Tamra Davis.

Here is our version of Lily’s outfit! We have an adorable bowler hat which is really close to Lily’s hat!! Check out the items below to get a similar look!!!

Pair the the Pack Feather Hat by Brixton with the Rebel Light Blue Button Up  by RVCA,  the Levi’s 501 Cutoff Shorts in Gasoline, and the  Bamboo Holt 24 Strappy Uber Wedge in Vegan Leather.

FashionEmployee Look of the Day: Punky Stylin with Cara!

As you might or might not know, is located in Chico, California, and it is a huge warehouse full of gals wearing lots and lots of cute clothes in many different ways! I realized that we don’t feature our own lovely ladies nearly often enough, so I am going to try and bring more pictures to you of our awesomely dressed employees.

We’ll start off with Cara, who is indeed our stylist and has been on the blog a few times already for her hipster “Geek Chic” style.

Cara recently fractured her elbow in a bike accident and has had to wear a sling for the past month or so! Instead of letting it bring her down Cara played up the tough look with her sling and just the right layering!

You can get this look (without breaking your elbow please!) with these items:

The Novel Idea Specs, the If Wishes Were Horses Tee, the Circle Quay Vest, the Levi’s 632 High Rise Skinny Jean in North, and the Wanted Prague Gray Girly Construction Boot in Vegan Leather!!!

FashionCurrently Channeling: Pretty in Pink

Molly Ringwald is our style icon and hero of the Brat Pack for today. In her Pretty in Pink role as Andie Walsh, Molly really played out pink in the wondrous year of 1986! This year, we’re revisiting all the best parts of the 80′s, and this is one great look (translated of course into clothes) to take some cues from!

Andie Walsh (Pretty in Pink)

Below are (our fav stylist) Cara’s picks for this adorable look! Here we have the romantic Road To Cythera Ring, the Summer Finn Dress [sold out!], and the Novela Edgy Beige Rows of Ruching Vegan Leather Pump.
